Ok so i too was watching the missleading trailer that just seems a bag full of lies once you buy this game; in the video it clearly states that if you have a shield you can block and so so trying to mimic elder scrolls i guess but they failed to do this giving the shield a few abilities that may block some attacks but it is not real blocking, it is ofensive to straight up lie to people, in wow you can not block with a shield like in elder scrolls, you also get abilities like in GW2 but it is not advertised, they do not try to be another franchise or lie of being something they are NOT.
i do like the game but the fact that i bought it in the first place for certain things that i was looking for just to find out these were poorly made or non existant due to missleading GW2 trailer videos.
do you guys think the same? or im i just asking for too much, although games like elderscrolls, wow never advertise non existant things.

I also bought World of warcraft because I thought in-game graphics would be as good as those in the trailer but they weren’t.. omg, what am I gonna do?!!

AFAIK, they only refund iff:

1. You bought the game from Anet’s store.
2. They’ll also close your account, permanently.

To be honest, i’ve played GW1 for 7 years, last 2 only in expectation for GW2
and yet i’m still here, as long as we don’t get decent MMO game, similar to GW1, i’ll probably be stuck in here. GW1 is empty so it’s pointless playing there, esle i would already be gone..

Most of us veterans didn’t get what we wanted, but we still hope for it because we love Arena Net, i really do.. but LOVE and repsect slowly fades with bad cheap “Living story” and “poorly-balanced & low-competitive-pvp”

I’ll just put it that way, most of us that came from GW1, expected a lot of good things… we got empty handed, and most of us PvP GW1 players are left with almost zero fun in GW2.. compared to GW1..

As long as PvP and PvE is balanced together, there will be poor pvp quality and huge gaps between class advantages. If you want to play PvP you must play PvE.. ( if some1 wouldn’t be nice enough to buy server for you, you would have to do it on your own)…
Few chest paths to unlock some of armour, and VERY DAILY LIMITED… which is SHAME.. While PvE players can get tons of speed runs and earn 100x more exotics unique good looking armour.. and yet again PvP is not profitable, you can not sustain yourself from that income.

It just feels like arena net, doesnt want us to PvP… they push us down the road to the big sign “WELCOME TO PVE”..

I don’t want to say it, but PvP players are left out in GW2, and i’m gone for good if some good decent MMORPG will be released.. I still can’t imagine myself leaving GUILD WARS after 9 years of loyal-ness.. But sadly that’s how it is..

I agree with Firelysm.

I wouldn’t mind being pushed towards PvE if the content was actually good, but since it isn’t, we’re stuck between a poor PvP experience and a worse PvE experience.
Meanwhile, when people ask for features like GvG or guild halls, fanboys and Arenanet are actually against adding it, justifying their laziness by saying this like “Oh but WvW is the same!” or “Nobody wants that!”.

I played GW1 since Factions and I’ve been loyal, but I can definitely see myself leaving for other better games, and I did.

What? You thought you could use a shield to defend yourself whenever you wanted? NO! kitten YOU! You do that kitten for 3 seconds, and you like it!

You also don’t emerge from water and turn in to your avatar in real life, which greatly disappointed me
