As gumball said, Anet would have been sued if they reused music exactly without permission and acknowledgement. There may be some similarities because music composition follows a list of rules; thus, it’s very, very rare that you’ll find music that doesn’t sound similar to something else you’ve heard.

I’m sure Soule would appreciate you saying his work sounds like Uematsu, but rest assured, the music in GW2 is entirely original.

Huh. Some of my music does sound like FF music.

Probably because I loaded it into a custom playlist for battles. :P
