This topic is not intended to troll or flame of any kind, but to, hopefully, contribute to make guild wars 2 a better game.

Graphicly and in terms of gameplay GW2 is awesome!

I consider myself an anti-blizzard person, I played wow just for a few months 4 years ago.

In the current state of GW2 I feel no objective, purpose that makes me want to play (playing just for fun gets old without purposes). PVP is always the same, gets repetitive very fast, and there is no purpose of playing to get stronger, no sense of progress…

In PVE we get better items so we can use in WvWvW and feel stronger, but WvWvW are just giant groups where the only thing is to spam AOE. There just isnt a sense of progression.

The camera FOV is too low, it ruins the beatifull graphic view of the game, and gives a claustrophobic feeling.

I couldnt find a class that I would be trully “in loved” for. All Professions seems clunky and with blend spells. The one I liked the most is thief, but its always the same gameplay, again, again and again..

With the new WoW expansion I decided to give it try and Im trully amazed on the extremely fun I am having!

Here is why:

- Leveling to 90 almost just doing battlegrounds (they give xp).

- The quest rewards and the few dungeons I do give me better items that I can use in battlegrounds and feel more powerfull every time !

- Want to reach 90 so I can spend my honor in PVP gear and feel the PROGRESS!!

- Lot’s of game modes in PVP, lots of different maps that helps to not get old.

- Enjoyable FOV.

- Love rogue.

I’ll give it a time to Guild Wars 2 and maybe come back due to the awesome fact that it is B2P and believe this game will be indeed AWESOME, if some sense of progression, profession tweaking , FOV adjustment and more pvp Game Modes are added.

If you like WoW than great – WoW is a great game. I really want Dungeon finder in GW2 and don’t care if WoW haters don’t like it.

But did you really have to mention gear grind? Really? I would rather not have a constant gear grind in this game. Let dungeons be the end all for exotic grind. You can already feel a difference as a 80 with exotics vs lower levels in WvW.\

Also why does “blizzard suck”? Maybe the Diablo team might, but the team that does WoW does not. Your playing their game and basically making a list of why its great then saying they “suck”.

This game is a 3 month game, the player base will go down slowly and the game will die.

One thing I agree with, WoW does have a much better FOV, the camera in this game makes me feel like I’m stuck on my characters shoulder

FYI: Incremental progression was added to MMOs to keep people paying a monthly sub. It’s a bad model IMO, it causes addictions similar to gambling.

If that’s what you are looking for though, then more power to you. Have fun.

Ok, before you think im going to flame the only thing i can say its good luck in wow.

i personally enjoy gw2 currently 2 toons lvl 80 lvling another one, trying to see all PS and im having tons of fun, perhaps this isnt the game for you? perhaps wow might be, or not. perhaps wow wont help you please your gaming needs and you will go to another game.

there are tons of games why bash or stay in a game you dont like.

as i said good luck and i hope you find the game you like, meanwhile i can see myself in gw2 for a long time.

if you want me to say you should stay and start naming what Gw2 has. and that wow sucks well you got the wrong person everyone is free to do what they want.

Couple of the things you included here are not comparable:

Load’s of PvP modes should be expected in a 9 year old game, not so much in one that is a few months old. I am sure they will be adding more as it is generally a better idea to launch with a few things and see how they work and then add more in later.

Your focusing on gear progression for a lot of your comparison which was never intended to exist in GW2. True your gear gets better as you level, but as there is a hard cap and not meant to be the carrot at the end of the stick it is irrelevant.

As I have gotten exp for everything I have done in WvWvW, are you implying that you get more making it easier to hit cap?

I’d rather have a bad FoV than bad game mechanics and gated dailies required for advancement.

It’s a shame that so many people seem to want GW2 to effectively be a copy and paste of WoW with better graphics. I play both MMO’s myself, though I vastly prefer GW2 due to how refreshing it is.

Anything is going to be ‘boring’ if you rush through it, and that’s the issue. It’s pretty odd that people claim WoW is still amazing when you spend the endgame grinding the same dungeons over and over and over again so you can access the same raids to grind over and over and over again.

Guild Wars is a PvP game, and as such is fine. If you don’t enjoy GW2, then go find pursuits you do enjoy. If that happens to be another game, great.

cant really get myself to play WoW. graphics make me nauseous, and the combat mechanics are…none. pass.
