Guild Wars 2

As many of you know there are tons of things in GW2 that get farmed, zerged, rushed to the point that everyone and their Asuran grandmother knows about them and does them. Things like Maw, Jormag, pretty much all the (rare drop) bosses. Also things like Queensdales Troll, or the farm constantly under attack. Well the purpose of this thread is to show people new and old alike, about things they may not know about. Whether it be events, items, quests, meta events, pretty much anything that in your opinion is undervalued and underrated.

So I’ll start it off with one of my favorites~

Jar of Harpy Pheromones- Now the jar is fun itself, you toss it and it pops hearts above peoples heads. But it is not so much the jar that’s fun but the quest and the voice acting. Once you do this quest you will see what I mean I think it is cute and unexpected, I know there is many more out there like this and hope others can share.

haha, thanks for linking that vid; I’ve passed by that event so many times on the way to the Shatter pre-event and not appreciated the dialogue before.

Sounds like the same voice actor for Captain Penzan from the Pirates of Penzan event chain in Bloodtide – very similar script & sense of humour – and an easter egg (that I missed until recently) if you hang around at the end, he’ll sing “Modern Pirate General”. I bet that was fun for the actor too.

It seems like there are tons of little gems that I’ve missed. I only have around 1500+ hours but I haven’t really done completion etc, so I’m sure many people have found funny stuff like this. Even little things like items, looting Ulgoth’s(sp?) tail off his corpse as an accessory. And with the world constantly evolving I hope they put time into adding even more awesome stuff, I even think i read the Moa races will be permanent after this arc.

While you are waiting to farm the Riot Instigator events in Southsun, there is a chest you can grab once a day, sitting on the shipwreck that houses the “shipwreck sample” you may have gathered last month. Also Pearl Islet has a simple jumping puzzle, for that same crowd of people.

You can fall to your death and take over 13,000,000 + Damage :P On the offensive side, a well buffed player can do 1m + damage to a poor ambient animal/insect ^^

There are a lot, but for now what popped up in my mind was protecting Webb in Kessex Hills. I highly recommend it, if you care about fluff about NPCs’ stories and lives. Find him around Fort Salma and give him a hand in picking up some of the lost pieces of his life.

Last night I did an event in the Plain’s of Ashford by the Old Duke’s Estate. Three charr cubs daring to wander through an area filled with Ascalon ghosts. The stuff the kids say is hysterical. It’s worth doing the whole thing just to hear the dialogue.
