the backpiece is a joke make it chaos of lyssa lol
Full melee Ranger since August 2012
This is awesome and hilarious. You are THE peakitten but I agree the Chaos of Lyssa would complete better than spinal blades.

It’s the Edina Monsoon of GW2.
:D
Is the character called Messy Hangover?
I might trying doing to this to mine to see what I actually have and don’t have.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
It’s the Edina Monsoon of GW2.
:D
Hahahahahaha, exactly this. Now where’s Patsy?
I mean, that combination looks horrible on your character, but on a male heavy armor human? I’ve seen worse looks.
Its rare and therefore prestigious. It’s raw sex appeal.
Especially the hat that makes you bald.
You’re missing the MLG logo and a bag of doritos.
There’s a clown somewhere that just filed for unemployment.
fashion disaster
What a stupid looking character.
What a stupid looking character.

Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
GW2’s most “prestigious” outfit
GUYS, here’s a free TIP:
Press F11, go to GRAPHICS option. In Character Model Limit, pick HIGH. In Character Model Quality, pick LOWEST.
Ta-da, players’ looks are GONE. Race and armor are replaced by standard models, that incidentally look a lot better than most of what people pick.
There’s little more FUN in the game than knowing that the guy who SPENT hours grinding for his shinning glowing feet could be trying to show off by your side and all YOU see is the default model :DDDDDD
Now ALL we need is to be able to disable WEAPONS and BACK PACKS as well.
Lol, that’s how most people look. I try to make looks that tell a story etc.. I had a look based around wings of dwayna but everyone and their mom has that back piece and it’s always with the tackiest looking stuff. So i just stopped wearing it.
Still – you have to admit, people’s fashion choice in GW2 is a net improvement on GW1

(Where people really did dress purely on the basis of what was most expensive far too frequently, which egnerally meant Obsidian armour + Glowy kitten gloves + Collectible headgear + Black dye)
Garnished Toast
I had the wedding costume which I bought without question in GW. I even got considered on the Pink day for a winner. Stupidly didn’t change my headgear to the tiara.
In GW2…just kitten. Even the chaos gloves compared to GW2 would laugh. Cox has ruined this game!
So after all the discussions about item “prestige” and wanting special items to show off I thought I’d try an experiment.
I logged into my main character, opened the wardrobe and tried to pick the most prestigious – the rarest, hardest to get, most expensive etc. items in each slot. Then I added the 4 most expensive (and limited time) dyes and took a screen shot.
I went for:
- Celebration Hat (play at launch)
- Wurmslayer’s Shoulderguard (beat the Triple Wurm and got lucky on RNG from the chest
- Illustrious Guise (crafted ascended)
- Fire God’s Vambraces (30 HoM points)
- Accursed Leggings (Arah dungeon tokens*)
*Radiant Greaves (21,000 achievement points)- Dynamic Tempered Spinal Blades (expensive mystic forge recipe)
- Eternity (Legendary sword)
- Pyre, Deep Glacial Sky, Blacklight and Enamelled Crimson dyes
- There’s not much choice for prestigious trousers.
Obviously what constitutes a good look is a matter of opinion, but for me at least the end result is a pretty effective illustration of why choosing your skins by what you think will impress other people is a bad move.
You’ve got me stumped on the leggings, but that’s pretty kitten good!
I’m curious if you would think Eternity would be more prestigious than a Sunless Greatsword? Eternity can be bought and crafted.
Sunless weapons:
- Cannot be bought
- Cannot be crafted
- Are account bound on acquire
- Share similar looks to other ascended weapons but have a unique dark shroud particle effect and glow scheme
- A very rare drop from defeating Tequatl, which can only be attempted 3 times per day.
What do you think? Do I have a new challenge for you?

Oh freaking yes, if we as a player would be able to deactivate:
- Minipets
- Back Items
- Legendary Feet/Weapon Swing Effects (not projectiles)
these 3 things would incredibly reduce lag effects, it would give the gamer for sure a feelable performance boost in regard of FPS and in general would lead to the poin,t that the game wouldn’t crash so quickly due of running out of RAM in situations where tons of players are together spammign their skills, while running around al with minipets and their backpacks on equipped all with legendary weapons causing tons of feet trails at the same time
What ANet has done so far in regard of culling and skil leffect reducement is far not enough.
Also Anet should add an option, that removes all red enemy names and changes them either to a decent red “aura” or to a small red symbol over the heads.
Because when you face in the game in WvW an enemy zerg of like 40-50+ people, this brings many player’s game clients instantly to crash due to suddenly running out of RAM from that huge mass of players and that just with everythign set on low graphically and qualities set on middle.
Anet absolutly needs to do more for WvW game performance, so that you can fight agaisnt larger zergs without havign to fear, that your game crashes the moment on that the zerg collides with you and gets too near to you…
Yes, I know, theres an option to deactivate enemy names, but it becomes then <alot harder to see your enemies from far away, would could be solved when enemies would still have then some kind of red aura that you can see or a symbol over their heads instead of the tons of long enemy rank names that can totally clutter your screen full just with those rank names, if you face a huge zerg, so that you just see only red names all around …
I would say you should use the Molten Jetpack over the spinal blades.
I was going to suggest changing the colour scheme but it still would not look good together.
