Since I wasted some skill points on a few Eldritch Scrolls, I’m currently 100 skill points away from obtaining a bloodstone shard for my legendary. Would it be quicker to keep gaining skill points from “leveling” on my level 80, or should I start an alt and run through the game with them? If I should stay on my level 80, are there any faster options other than farming CS, playing in WvW, or crafting?

skill points, as are the skill point purchasble MF mats, are character bound on pick up.

so doing an alt will not help you at all.

on a side note: i wish skill point challenges reset say every week or two weeks so we could do them again. woudl additionally add something to fight over in wvw.

I have all of the components to make the Gift of Mastery, which I assume is account bound. I can obtain the bloodstone shard on an alt, and craft the gift on them.

it’s quicker to get skill points from exp at 80 than it is below that in my experience.

wvw varies alot. farming events in orr is boring, but if your server still does arah and grenth chains, those are very fast exp when they happen.
