1). I was just cleaning my inventory of bags i got from Breach and SW chest farm and halfway through i was tired of clicking every single item, and then you have to approve every single rare item manualy, you even have to then again click on your salvage kit to salvage another one and then it hit me.

We could use a option like Diablo 3 has. Salvage everything of actual rarity. This option could be right beside the inventory drop down menu so we didn`t have to waste half of our game time on salvaging hunderds of thousands equipment parts.
You could set it so the “salvage all rares” button would use i.e. Mystic Salvage Kit if player has it in the inventory and i.e. “Salvage all uncommon” would use Fine Salvage Kit to salvage blue and greens, etc. What ever you`d like.

No more…

“Brb one minute, need to clear inventory.”

… during dungeons.

What if your inventory is full? System could check before salvaging first item if there is enough of free slots for salvaging it so the rest could be salvaged right after it if free slots are found or show you the warning that you need free slot or just salvage the first item and show the loot popup that we have today when trying salvaging with full inventory. Even now we can`t salvage without making a slot or two before salvaging so i don`t think there would be a problem with my solution but word or two from devs on that subject could be useful.

We could use the time we earned and focus on gameplay rather than take 20 min breaks each day because we need to salvage every single item manually. Arena Net why?

Pros/Cons
*What cons…?

That`s that.

2). We could use of aditional dropdown menu somewhere on the top bar to swap between characters without reloging just like swaping shards in other mmorpgs. You`d obviously still relog just game would do that for you and instatly start to load character of your choice instead of doing it all manually. Another huge convenience and anybody who has more than three characters and two crafting skills know what i`m talking about and that`s only peak of a mountain.

*Cons?
Don`t be ridiculous.

Possible on expansion release? I`d buy the **** just to have that option.

I`d like to invite forum lurkers and devs to discussion on ideas i provided here.

I`d like to finish with thanks to Arena net for FINALLY including FOV slider in the game. I`m not even able to explain to you how important it is for me and how much the game gained just from that addition. I am visiting all the areas once again to see what i didn`t see before and i`m blown away by how beautyful this game is and why i didn`t see it before, at least not to this extent. These few screenshots wont give away the beauty of it. They don`t have to.

1) Multiple topics should be placed within different threads for each topic.

For starters, the system cant “see” if you have enough room. For any given rare item, you’ve got a chance at obtaining 4 items out of it (sigil/rune, material, ecto, inscription/insignia). For any given exotic item, you’ve got a chance at obtaining 5 items (same as rare + dark matter). This means it’s going to need to calculate whether or not you have 4 or 5 times the space of what you’re salvaging. Full inventory? Sorry, system says it cant salvage because you dont have room. Got 3 spaces? Sorry, system cant salvage.

Frankly I’d rather have a “mark for salvage” option with kits. Then you can go through and mark what you want to salvage, then confirm through the kit again to salvage everything.

Materials of same kind/ectos stack. Runes/Sigils don`t always drop from salvaged items. If system went through items one by one it wouldn`t be a problem – ofcourse it would still be done in under miliseconds. In conclusion you are wrong saying it would need 4 or 5 times the space needed after salvage. In fact it would need less then the amount of items salvaged, the only issue would occur while salvaging first itemwhile full inventory but that`s in the game anyway, maybe it would be even a chance to finding solution to that.

I like the idea mark for salvage as long as it could be performed with “hold button + click”. That would be both convenient and time saving for people like me who value their time.

Are you sure it takes fewer slots to store salvaged materials than the items salvaged? I always seem to have to send my mats to Material Storage, and even then, I end up with too many Runes, Sigils and junk, so I can’t keep salvaging without selling or using the bank.

Maybe I’m doing it wrong.
