Gear and crafting
It is now very easy to get the mats. Seeing as most you can get from the TP. The stuff needed to get the vision crystal are easy to het now too. Use to be a pain. Just go to silverwasts and chest farm. You’ll get the 500 of each mat needed in a few days. It was added as it was intended to be in the game at launch. The time gate and the cost in mats was done to add value to lesser mats, and so that people with a lot of gold wouldn’t just have it the day it came out. And made it something people to aim for.

ya, I can understand the added value and that to keep crafting useful after leveled that each incrementation of next best set would logically be exponential. The “y to the x” for upper level crafting here though makes for a really sharp curve, lol.
Thank you for the feedback though, since this game has been really on the mark in every area that other games annoy me, it seemed surely I was missing information here as to the how to on crafting ascended gear. “go to silverwast(e)s and chest farm”, I will look that up. Since I haven’t played for years and now back having played for maybe 6 weeks, leveling a fresh Ranger to 80 and getting 73% of the map completed, there is still much to do and know. It has been a really enjoyable return though. People are friendly and helpful and the overall experience of game play has been way better than what I was getting elsewhere.
LOL, looked up Silverwaste and how to get there, then started learning what to do and gathering materials. By Saturday night I had made my Ascension longbow. Doing the events and running with the “box trains” has shown that in fact getting a full ascension set is going to be somewhat of a cakewalk, only maybe easier as it is fairly well guaranteed that the materials needed to craft ascension gear will pile up faster than I had ever expected.
Review of my material list for a Vision crystal I find after just this weekend I have:
2,662 Piles of Bloodstone Dust.
3,016 Dragonite Ore.
1,547 Empyreal Fragments.
126 Obsidian Shards.
So as it looks now, ascension gear is going to easy to come by. Not really sure though that there is that much of a stat increase; but for min/maxing any increase is a plus. Then, what else am I going to do with all this stuff taking up inventory space?

For dust you can craft mawdrey, which eats up dust for gifts, the Star of gratitude eats fragments but is currently unobtainable.
IF you have too much of that stuff, either refine it (Which cost some silver) or toss it.
You wont have a problem in the future to obtain these mats, if you should need them.
