Is anyone else just going to not bother getting exotics for their alts as there’s the ascended tier now?

I expect quite the market crash in non-unique skinned exotics in the future

of course i will, how boring would it be just to gear my alts to exotic status…..and then be bored????, Now all actually have something to do after getting to 80, and getting full exotics.

Don’t want to derail topic but I’m still learning. Are unique skins from earning exotic vs buying on TP or what?

Karma, you’ll have exactly 1 ring, and 1 back slot item to get, and then you’ll be in full Ascended gear until the next patch.

If either of those two items aren’t both on me in the first 12 hours of the patch, I’ll be shocked.

But… why get Exotics in the first place, once Ascended Gear is available? Do you currently get a full set of level 80 Rares before you start on Exotics? Do you get a set of Masterworks before you start on Rares?

People won’t bother with exotic jewellery, and unless the back slot costs a lot more than 5g, the guild backpack will become cosmetic only.

None of this makes any sense, exotics will become the new rares, rares will retain value solely because of their ecto salvage and people will just farm ascendant armour instead of exotics. I’m more interested in the long term implications for dungeon rewards. Who is going to farm the unique dungeons in the game when the Fractal of the Mists is the place you go to get the best gear?

For the comedy value I hope they fill the Fractal with undead. Then ArenaNet will have hearded their entire PvE end game player base into undead filled cesspools of boredom.

I’ve only just hit 80 on my main and fully intend to acquire exotics despite knowing that ascended items are on the horizon.

This worries me too, what are they doing with the unique armors from the other dungeons.
