Just wanted to check in and see if there was any plans to change the gem exchange custom quantity so that we could get the actual value of the gems we are trading in, and to be able to trade in a custom amount of gems for gold. This was brought up back when it was reimplemented based on the feedback from players but it only allows you to trade in an amount of gems that gets close to an even gold.

I have 85 gems left over from my various purchases. I’d like to be able to trade those in for gold. Right now if I did so, I’d have 1 gem left over. The only way around this is to check in regularly and see if the exchange rate allows for full trade in. I would like to be able to open the custom exchange and turn my 85 or my 1235 gems into gold and not have leftover gems or have it round down to the nearest gold.

I assume you do know about the custom amount screen that you can get to from the exchange page, button in the lower right.

There is a button there to sell the maximum amount of gems, that come out in gold but you still can’t sell all unless all ends up being the number needed for some exact amount of gold.

I’m just wondering since we never really got any dev feeedback as to why we didn’t just the get the “In light of your feedback, we will update the Currency Exchange so that you can decide how you want to use it. We will keep the new streamlined system and also offer a new “Custom” button on the panel that you can use to exchange any increment of gems or gold.” and instead got a system that only allows you to trade in amounts that round to the nearest gold.

I just wanted to followup and see if it was off the table as a possibility.

Honestly, I don’t think they care any more.

Does it kitten me off? Yes. Most people don’t seem to consider it a problem, though. It’s only those turning gems into gold that have to deal with that side of it.
