Guild Wars 2

Yesterday I was goofing off on the Guild Wars 1 wiki taking in all of the lore again when I came across the page of the Old Human Gods. I immediately took notice of this oddly familiar image!

Notice that? The Dervish forms of Dwayna and Balthazar are 100% identical to the respective outfits we’ve been getting on the gem store! So it’s likely we’ll be getting these outfits too.

As an extra bit of info, we’ve already seen ANet have a habit of keeping things chronological, with the sequence of Elite Specialisation reveals and the order of professions on the official GW2 website. Sooo, is it likely the same situation applies to this sequence of Gods on the GW1 wiki? It goes in the order of Balthazar, Dwayna, Grenth, Lyssa, Melandru, Abbaddon, Dhuum and finishing with “Goddess of Truth,” our dear Kormir. So far, it’s kept in order. If we ignore the fallen gods Abbaddon and Dhuum, we’re left with the current Six Human Gods of Tyria, but who knows? Maybe we’ll get Abbaddon and Dhuum outfits, as their pages on the wiki also show their assumed appearance.
Is it safe to say the next God outfit we get, if we get one, will be Grenth’s? Tell me what you think! ^.^

My hopes are on Melaggan

Well, no matter which outfit you get, just remember; if someone asks you if you’re a god, you say YES!

We already have Grenth’s Mask. So if they do a Grenth outfit I don’t think they’d re-used the mask they already have in game. So they’d have to change his, that kinda debunks part of your theory. But its a good one. I do imagine we will, at some point, get an outfit for every god currently around though.

Grenth’s outfit would be fine even if they re-used the mask. If you have the mask you can combine it with any armour, while the outfit is basically a onesie with optional hat.

I’m fairly confident they will stay true to the six human gods’ appearances when designing the subsequent outfits.

Sooo… there will never be a grenth outfit because they sold the headpiece seperate?

While we already have the Grenth hood, that armour would look sweet on a greatsword-wielding necromancer. But yeah, had this figured out since the first outfit. XD

I definitely think these outfits will look amazing with the corresponding elite specializations we’ll get in HoT. I mean, the Grenth outfit is perfect for Reaper, and I personally feel the Lyssa outfit is perfect for Chronomancer.

I am looking forward for Lyssa’s but as I know the… nscosft… they will never add it, they add the hilarious monk outfit, then they will add the rotten nails outfit, the bird dropping outfit, the plant food outfit etc…

There are depictions of Grenth with horns on his head like on statues and such, so maybe they’ll do that with the Grenth outfit.
