I do not like the wording in the post because it confuses me.

Does it mean that this is the last chance people have to buy the finishers and outfits for good, or will they be back some other time for special sales and what not?

“so this is your last chance to purchase them directly using gems.”

I’m like a few weeks into this game and I already understand how it all works, so this level of confusion and anger over the fact that they rotate items in the shop to create rarity is very perplexing…I mean this isn’t something they just started doing a few weeks ago right?

call it artificial or not it creates rarity, and for people do buy outfits/skins rarity adds value. I don’t want to pay $15 on a set then a few months later see everyone and their mother using them, I’m actually happy when I get something decorative and I see its going to not be available, I know I’m not going to see everyone running around with it. Artificial rarity or not I’m not paying money to look like everyone else whos paying money.

This isn’t a new concept and Anet isn’t the first to do it. I’m way more inclined to buy something I like if I know its going to be rare, especially when I’m paying to look unique. I’m honestly not sure how many here cant understand this, and or hate the concept.

I mean bunny ears would be lame if anyone who wanted them could. The only reason people want them is because they are super rare.

I’m not upset, I just need to know if I absolutely must buy whatever I wanted or if it is possible that it will be back later on. ^^

If you simply must have the item, no sense not buying it now while its available.

I’d say just buy it if it’s something you want. There is always a chance it will come back, but who knows when (or if). Hell, just take a look at those that are still waiting for the bunny ears to come back…

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

If bunny ears, aviators, etc, etc, every come back, I can almost guarantee they will be available for a limited time only from black lion chests. They did this when they brought back the sab minis and anet probably made a tonne of cash doing so.

And account bound……

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

BUNNY EARS WERE NEVER SOLD AS AN ARMOR SKIN!!!!!

They have yet been offered as a Gem Shop item as an armor skin, when it vanished it vanished with every other piece of town clothes months before the wardrobe came out. Players who had it as a piece of town clothes headgear had them retroactively converted to an armor skin as part of the wardrobe update. They were never offered as an armor skin post wardrobe.

Honestly, and I’ll likely be proven wrong after posting this, I can’t think of an armor skin that was sold as an armor skin, for gems from the Gem Shop, not return after it was temporarily pulled. Original Flamekissed Light Armor doesn’t count.

We are heroes. This is what we do!

RIP City of Heroes

If it is currently an armor skin that doesn’t stop ANet from selling it as an armor skin.

Pretty much everything will come back at one point. A few really old things like the baseball hat or bunny ears dont seem to be coming back, which is weird, but most things do

it will probably be your last chance to buy them for 6 months since HOT will undoubtedly have new gem store items (along with the “OMG how dare the devs try to make money” threads).

There’s limited shelf space, so the summer stuff have to be cleared out to make room for the autumn/winter stuff. Wait, what?
