What happened with promotions in gem shop?
Saw none since a long time....

They be working on the ex-pack more, with them not covering any of the maps in betas it means the release date might be a lot closer

How much time does it take to re-release something niche in the shop in the mean time?

My guess is around half a year.

A sale on some existing items would be nice too.

People complained about half baked and short content updates during Living Story and demanded an expac. Now they work on an expac and dont release any other content.
People started complaining that all we get now is some gem store updates on tuesdays and no real content, so they stopped updating the gem store.

Heroes of the Storm has a new sale every week, even if it is just a character or two and a couple of skins (maybe a mount, too). I wish GW would do something similar. Put a character slot, back tab, or collection expander on sale! Maybe a couple of outfits or something. There’s a lot of stuff in the gem store, they should have a weekly rotation of sales, even if it’s just a few things.

Apart from no new additions and promotions in the gem store for 5 weeks now, we havent seen discounted sales for account upgrades in a couple of months either.

And that’s my point. While they’ve been removing stuff from the gem shop they really haven’t returned any or had sales which are the other usual promotions.

It’s making me wonder if the HoT schedule is slipping so much that their plans for the Gem Shop were all related to HoT being out.

Key sales are always popular. 20% is the usual amount. Sure it’s a sucker’s game but as long as you aren’t expecting to make money on keys it can be fun, like opening booster packs of Magic.
