I am kind of surprised that anet thinks it will make money selling town clothes. I know I will never buy them. I would probably not even buy them if I could in game with game gold.

If anet was smart, it would make armor skins, even ones with level 1 stats. I think that would sell much better. Lord knows, if the pilot’s hat was a medium armor skin, I and probably 50% of all engineer players would buy it.

Town clothes are very popular in mmo in game stores although most allow you to wear them as your armor/armor skin. There’s certainly a couple in the store I’d happily buy if I could transmute them in the way you suggest above

Having said that, I’d probably still buy town clothes with gems as they currently are if I saw anything I fancied. I imagine eventually a better range will be introduced in time

I’d buy “normal” town clothes if I could. By “normal” I mean no chef suit, wedding dresses, clown suit, bath suits, halloween costumes, etc… just normal clothes that are different than the default ones. They’d have to be really cool for me to spend gems on them but I would.

If you spend your gold on gems, then spend the gems on clothes, you are sort of getting your clothes for gold. That is how I got my Witch’s Outfit and my Roses… yes, I do enjoy the outfits/items that give me a skill bar to play with in towns. :P

That said, I would still like to see more armor skins available, as that is what I wear more often and get the most use out of.

I think armor and weapon skins should be available from gameplay only.

But I would like more town clothing.

ANY sylvari town clothes I’d buy.

Anet wouldn’t sell them because of people like you, they sell them for people like me.

I would love more attractive armor and would pay real money for them.

I’d pay real money to be able to transmute my head armor into a pair of glasses.

I would never do some things so I believe it is ridiculous that other people do those things willingly. My point of view is correct and will even make up statistics to give the impression of actual thought!

There is a long list of things I’d like to see turn up in the RMT store yet, but y’know – I think they can leave all the other money spinners in the shop too, makes little/no difference to me in the end.

The other day I walked into my grocer and blasted him over how bad apples were and how much I hated them, BEST WAY TO ASK FOR AN ORANGE EVER!!!!

I second that Afoxi! And third it! Very much want specs on my ele and the cultural human ones aren’t quite right
