On that note, I’m thoroughly disappointed by the “sale” provided on the last day. We had 31 days of sales which I took advantage of quite often. On the last day of the “sale” we get dye packs. Seriously?!?! Marketing fail of epic proportions! Of all the things you could put up, you end your “month of sales” on useless dye packs. /headsmack

Gwen’s Attire — Outfit — 700 gems — dye channels on female are undertunic, corset/boots/gloves, bosom cover, and tights. On male: Mask/skirt, collarpiece/armband/gloves/boots/girdle/skirt panels and lining, shirt, pants. Female charr wear male version, it has physics for the butt flap over the base of the tail. Female asura also wear the male version. Male sylvari get a slim fit in the skirt, not a big bell for once.

Functionality Notes

• The Home Portal Stone takes you to your race’s home instance. If you use it to exit, you return to your previous location (but not if you step outside the instance).
• The Royal Terrace Scroll takes you to a special location with all services (including mystic forge), except for the daily activity (and, depending on bugs, might be missing 1-2 guild services that should be available, including the basic commendation vendor).
• City portal scrolls take you to the heart of each city’s business district, one way (no returns). No mystic forge, no guild services (except for guild bank).
• There’s also an LA portal scroll, but that costs over 650 gold in ingredients, so I can’t recommend it.

tl;dr city portal scrolls are a notably cheaper alternative (even if you buy ingredients outright from the TP) and offer similar functionality.

Bank, crafting, merchants, Mystic Forge, Guild bank, Laurel vendor, armor repair, trading post, various guild NPCs (Guild Armorer, Guild Registrar, Guild Commendation Trader, Guild Promoter, and Guild Weaponsmith) as well as a portal to all the racial cities.

Just picked up my Krytan and Profane armor sets at discount prices yesterday: 450 gems each. Good deal!
Monk and Lich outfits, as well as some others, were also available.

Of course. I didn’t bother to mention them myself since this is a thread on gemstore items and their prices. I thought it was worth pointing out that the higher price is due to increased convenience, which I didn’t think your post really made clear. However the lesser cost and lesser conveneniece is a good point and some will be interested in these scrolls.
