Sorry Anet but enough is enough the lag issues and rendering are making the game unplayable unless you are fully PvE, which I am not.
I have reported it over 90 times over the last 48 hours of 30 second lag spikes, juddered graphics, Invisible enemies, skills not working then working as other skills that you have not activated or even have selected.
With is being the festive season I will give you the benefit of the doubt and before you even say it’s my system I run a 3.6 ghz amd quad core, 670 gtx, 16 ghz of ram with a SSD, on top of all of that My internet speed is of the 100mb so don’t give me any bull about it being from my end.
On top of which might I add the interview where your Dev team stated it was down to the data transfer from your system to ours is why the rendering has been brought in confirms my suspicions that the server contract you have is not up to the job you wanted or even underestimated the sort of server the game would require.
I therefore strongly suggest you reevaluate your servers to either drastically lower the population of the game server to 50% of what they are now and increase new servers for players to go to.
Instantly bring in Pay For transfer.
Or fully upgrade your server to the very best money can buy, which at the moment is $ 15,000 apx per server a mere drop in the ocean with the revenue this game has brought in.
The time to Act is now otherwise more and more players are going to say enough is enough and trust me I am getting extremely close to saying that myself.

No lag here, just a typical pre-built 900 dollar PC with an upgraded GPU and Time Warner Cable which is certainly not the best.

I’d rather have lag then the worst performance to dollar ratio in a game ever.

2500k 4.5Ghz with a GTX 690 gives me 25-35 fps in LA. Oh boy……

lol. I get 25-30 fps with a GT 520 and a intel core 2 quad. significantly worse than your setup.

Same here with a GT520, except with an i7-2600. I sit at around 30-40 fps in LA, 25 with fraps running.
Oh, and only actual lag I have seen was during the Karka event in LA. Mother of pearl, was that some lag.

this game isn’t not so well optimized but unoptimized at all. 2500k@4.3 with a gtx570@920 core and i get 15-22fps in wvw during large battles, sad part is that even setting the game to low its the same fps. instead of releasing crap like the winterday with nothing useful, fix your game and remove that joke DR

Fact: every Thief tells you to “l2p” when the subject is to nerf stealth.

Wow I’m on a GT545 8G Ram and an i7 2600 3.4 with 50 FPS in LA. O.O

I agree i’m getting all the OP is getting too, the LAG has become really unbearable of late and not just in Lions arch everywhere, i had none of this when Guildwars 2 opened, 2 months later patch after patch has just ruined the game play so much..
