Guild Wars 2

Hey, I started playing since beta and stopped around October, and now want to play again, I left off at about level 55 or so, and would like any tips on the game so far. I know I am far behind, but I believe I can catch up, in a sense. Any help will be appreciated!

Biggest tip I can give you is to have fun, explore everything, participate in events, level up to 80 to get to the 80 zone events and of course have even more fun.

Sure there will be times when you feel frustrated, but that’s normal, by and large though this is a very fun game that on occasion has hiccups.

Also getting into a guild that has friendly active members will increase your fun factor rapidly.

I am still in a guild I believe but they weren’t too active, so I think getting into a good guild is a great idea, I also have another question, I tried Ascalonian Catacombs and they were quite hard, I haven’t tried any explorable dungeons yet, have they eased them a bit or left them the same?

The dungeons, for the most part, are only hard until you learn them. Once you learn them they’re less hard. Again, a decent guild can help here.

I can’t stress this enough. Find like minded players and team up. The game is a thousand times better with a guild.

Particularly if you’re starting out, pugging it a terrible way to do dungeons because so many people know them now. But a guild, generally, is more understanding if your’e a newbie because they get to know you.

I have people in my guild I run with who don’t know the dungeons very well, but they’re fun to play with, so everyone benefits.

No they made them a little harder – for now. What I mean is they buffed a few of the bad guys in dungeons so you have to rely more on your skills and dodging than finding a hiding spot to rapidly kill the boss. So your initial entry into the dungeons will be a case of “OMG why is this so hard now?” but the more you play it the better you get with your skills the less you will wonder why you insta-die

Slowly familiarize with the game again. Some new contents were added and read your in-game mail, it helps. Also, don’t miss out on Daily and Monthly achievements, that’s all I would advice you and welcome back!

Ema said it best. Do anything and everything you feel is fun. I have two 80 I still play with as well as 3 alts I can kick around lower levels. I just do what is fun for the day.
