There’s no way one person could have hundreds of this skin legitimately… It has to be a result of duping. At first saw the price was dropping I thought to myself it was just cause of old players coming back to the game which is a possibility, I kept telling myself that but I kept a close eye on them and hundreds have been sold off within the past month even today I put in a buy order thinking it was all out but no the guy comes back and fills all the buy orders. I know he places a certain amount of buy orders(5-10) at a certain price to get more people to place higher buy orders which he then takes out his own before filling in everything else which is smart but can we get someone to look into this? Before it becomes as worthless as the those 1 silver winters day skins?

I don’t think it is a result of a dupe purely because Anet have been very on top of that stuff in the past. They can track items with ease. I am surprised that there is still supply to be dumped though.

But yes there is already a recent topic on this. Plenty of debate and discussion going on over there.

I know what he does, ive been closely watching the skins on gw2dp/spidey for the past few weeks. he puts in small but somewhat realistic buyorders at a set price that he wants and when he gets enough orders on top of that he removes his buyorders and fills them in. But that still doesnt change the fact that hundreds have already gone out and he still has more.

It’s been 1000s now since December when the major dumps started. The first few months after HoT I think it was a lot of panic dumping/small time investors dumping their stocks. Since then though I think it’s only been a couple of different players with one in particular having a huge stock.

You can get them from the mystic forge although it appears to not be intentional.

Yea but you can still add the skin to your account once you buy it like any other weapon skin. The only difference being that you cannot get that free apply like if it were just the skin.

Putting in rare items like you would precursors and hope you get lucky.

True, but I don’t think that’s the item this thread is about. There aren’t many of the actual weapons, and those have only surfaced recently, afaik.

Maybe. I have been seeing a lot of talk about getting it from the MF so assumed it to be that.

Yes those weapons really have very little to do with why the shield is at its current price. It’s another topic in itself and quite frankly it seems like a bug to me. A bug with each of the h’ween weapons, see the chain sword and greatsaws on the TP for yourself.

Well if you can get the skins from those weapons then the price of the skin items on the TP would fall.
