It makes the effect more pronounced. There’s diminishing returns with the effect though.

The additional effects are minor, IMO. If you can afford it, go for it. Otherwise, I’d sell and stack different aura types until your toon is a glowing ball of awesome.

The difference is somewhat in the eye of the beholder; you’ll have to decided for yourself. (Ayrilana’s link is quite helpful for that.)

My impression is that there’s an RNG component to the effects: which little blob jumps or grows, and by how much or how far. By stacking infusions, you get more ‘crits’ of the more notable effects, which gives the impression of a deeper or richer effect. (And it sort of is, depending on your point of view.)

tl;dr check it out for yourself; if you can ask the question, you can probably afford the minor costs of not liking it enough to keep.
If you have magnetite, I’d say spend it on the infusions; you can always remove and sell them later if you don’t like the effect. If can afford the the TP costs, I’d recommend putting in custom buy offers for a few — if you don’t like the combined effect, you can still remove and then sell for customer offers; you’ll lose some gold (mostly due to fees), but nothing you won’t be able to spare to check it out.
