Guild Wars 2

So, I’ve been thinking about getting a digital copy of GW2 for a friend of mine who I invited to the trial weekend, but I was wondering how exactly one would go about gifting it to someone else. When you buy the digital copy, does it automatically apply it to your account, or does it give you a CD key that you need to apply that I could give to the friend I’m gifting it to? I dunno quite how this works out and wanted to find out before I actually got it.

You can buy a digital copy from quite a few other places that give you a game-key. You could then print it on to a card as a gift. They then add the key to their A.net account. And that’s it. They have a the full game next time they log in.

Well, I can’t exactly give them a card. They live in the Netherlands >> But I suppose that’s one method of going about it, hm.
