I am sure this has bothered others…Please allow the giuld bank to act the same as personal banks. Currently when trying add to stacks in the giuld bank, it doesnt work. I have to pull the stack into my inventory and then combine them. It would be even better if the giuld bank had a resource bank like personal ones, but i would settle for being able to stack matts and runes without pulling them into my inventory.

There are two seperate problems with this. One is that your account and the guild bank are not the same account. So transferring takes a few seconds (it’s probably closer to emailing between accounts). The item in the guild back account probably can’t “see” the items in your account and so don’t combine.

The other problem, what happens if someone else is simultaneously adding or removing items to the same stack that you are? It could easily bugged or items be duplicated if two or more people could remove or add at the same time.

I believe the problem lies wherein more than one person can interact with a storage space at a time.

I’d guess if it was easy to remedy, it would have been done long ago.

Pretty sure all this works OK in WoW and more than one person could be using the guild bank, at the same time, in that, as well.

So, I don’t really consider that to be a valid excuse.

If I recall correctly, it’s because there was a duping bug early on in the game. They closed off the Guild Bank for a while until they got the issue resolved.

Fortunately, Guild Wars 2 isn’t WoW. Nor does it use the same engine, code, or Developers.
