I like the Idea of World vs World but to cut down on lag and make the game faster for everyone. There is no need for people in NA or Euro to have to ping to Singapore and back. This way all the Asian players could type in their own language and not make chat look like some messed up symbols. I remember in GW1 there was a rule for English only in chat, unless you selected the appropriate server in the drop down for what region you were playing in. Please bring this back.

I don’t think you understand how the internet works. But that’s okay. I’ll give you a brief run down.

Anet doesn’t pick how your connection goes. It’s also highly unlikely someone from NA has their connection get routed through Singapore. Unless you have a trace route showing it (mind you, the IP you see could be registered to a company from Singapore, doesn’t mean it’s located there).

And to the other languages… Welcome to a global game, where English is not the only language.

It sounds like OP has a VPN pointed to singapore. You should try get someone who has some knowledge of computers to find it out for you.
