Before this patch The Crossing’s name would just be “The Crossing”, now it has a stupid name of whatever you have transmuted it too. I’d like the old name back please

I like how my Firebringer became some Berserker’s Pearl Broadsword. Fun times.

Yeah I hate this. Scythe Staff of Corruption had such a nice ring to it. Not some stupid generic whatever I transmuted it from name. Sigh =/

All my “Dragon’s Jade” weapons have the generic names now. A minor detail… but still hugely disappointing.

Same here, my Tormented Longbow is now “Zoja’s Longbow” That sucks a lot and It soured the entire patch for me. Please Anet Fix this or allow players the choice of what The Name is at the end of Transmutation.

I believe it was a way of distinguishing between ‘real’ and ‘fake’ weapons.

Fake and real legendaries would be key too.

It could have been notated in the stats if it was transmutted or not. Or even put a little * next to the name to indicate a transmute. All my rare skin staffs are called bramblethorne now because I only need rabid stats. I was about to get the crossing but like this guy don’t want it if its going to be named something else.

There is already a red-name comment in the Dev tracker saying they are looking into fixing this .

They could just swap the name of the item and the one in the Transmuted text, and people would still know if it was fake. The “fake” ones would be the ones with the Transmuted text. Of course, this potentially poses a “fake” issue to those who were transmuting a legendary around their characters, or before it was made stat swappable?

I don’t think it’s the same issue.

I was going to craft Azureflame but if it’s going to be renamed with Zojja’s Greatbow..

I hope they gonna do something about this.

With how the wardrobe works, having the name not change actually sort of makes sense, asking though it may be.
