Everytime I look at my infinite continue coin in my bank, my stomach churns that I can’t use this valuable and almost necessary (for trib mode) gem store item that I bought for with real money.

Due to timing the last release of this wonderful and time sucking game mode, I was only able to get 3 green trib mode skins with my limited amount of free time. I basically made my mesmer themed around SAB skins, complete with the Asura T3 chest for extra glowiness! Its kinda sad to me though that I couldn’t get all of the trib mode weapon skins used by mesmer since I mix and match them a lot, and not having a pistol or focus or GS skin (was a PU condi scrub at the time) is really messing with my character’s groove.

Okay devs, I honestly don’t understand why you can’t let us have world 1 and 2 and their tribulation modes available while we wait for the new worlds and their new colored skins to come out. Is the 8-bit 3D graphics style to expensive to maintain? Because if thats the case you might as well sink the content graveyard of SAB beneath the waves. Its been 10 months since the last glorious installment, which is SIGNIFICANTLY LONGER than the gap between world 1 and 2’s release.

In short, the Super Adventure Box should be available to use permanently with all of its previous worlds and skins available. You can even prevent the blue super skins from dropping at all to maintain their economic value and just let us work towards tribulation mode skins and old acheivements. Its a big time investment to work towards the skins, and 1 month was not enough time for most of us to get everything we wanted from it.

The SAB is a magical place and a magical land where everything is bright and happy and the weapon skins are the embodiment of complete emotional fulfillment.

Tribulation mode especially in World 2 is a great challenge that entices anyone wishing to jump, run and swing their stick at their heart’s content.

Every now and then, my 8-year old daughter comes up to me playing gw2 and talks me into going back to Rata Sum and checking if the SAB has magically opened the gates again. She’s desperately waiting for the box to get back and to try it herself. Last time the box was online, she hadn’t mastered the game controls enough to play, but enjoyed watching me play it for hours.

She’s be ever so happy if the box finally opened its gates again, and so would I. As much as I like the content available now, the SAB is special, and I can’t wait to have it back.

Players don’t get to dictate what is lore and what is not. I see no reason to consider SAB lore-breaking. Asura invent stuff all the time and every now and then they make a huge technological breakthrough like this one. SAB is just progress. By this logic none of us should play GW2 because it is lore-breaking to reality. A world can’t possibly exist inside a box, no way! Also, GW2 already has jumping puzzles yet those are okay?

I want SAB back, even if it doesn’t receive any world updates right away. I love SAB as it’s own game, almost as much as I love GW2. Sure I won’t play it all the time, but I should be able to come back whenever I want and enjoy something that will only exist in our world a brief time. Let’s face it, GW2 won’t last forever so don’t take our precious SAB moments away!

I’m only here because sometimes I just like to watch things burn.

SAB is my favorite side-content of GW2 by far. I’m honestly surprised we haven’t seen it back yet, but I figure that the next couple of worlds would need to be even larger than the last worlds (which were pretty huge), so maybe that’s why it is taking longer.

I won’t stop because I can’t stop.

I also don’t understand why World 1 and World 2 can’t be permanent whilst we wait for World 3. I mean, now the LS is permanent, surely they’ll apply this state of mind to SAB? I hope we get SAB back this autumn, then the worlds stay for good, and we just have to wait for the next one, but we can still play the current worlds to our hearts content.

Releasing new worlds would keep it fresh and interesting. People would not appreciate Mario more if Nintendo banned everyone from playing it eleven months of the year, they’d just get annoyed at Nintendo for imposing weird restrictions on things people have spent money on.

The old worlds would get tiersome fast because we can play them 24/7.

People buy Nintendo products to play Nintendo games. You are hyperboling with your comparsion. It would be more like Nintendo launching Super Smash Bros game, and one character will appear for a month and then disappear for a month and then appear again.

Same with Guild Wars 2, we got Halloween, Winter’s Day, Dragon Bash, Super Adventure Box as events that keeps popping up and then disappears. To give people something to look forward to and give it replay value. People would replay the old worlds because this is the only time they can do it, and then play the new world as well. This makes the content take longer to complete and will keep people busy for a longer time instead of keeping SAB up 24/7 and only play the new worlds when they are out, with people later on complaining about ’’there’s nothing to do I have already completed everything.’’

Making old things appear after a long time with something new gives people a lot of time to waste, as well as giving developers time to continue working with newer content, while this old-new release keeps the players busy.

YES! Please make SAB permanent, or at the very least bring it back much more often. You don’t have to make a big deal of it, and although I would appreciate new levels they are not mandatory every single time it returns. Why can’t you just let us play the darn thing!?

The old worlds would get tiersome fast because we can play them 24/7.

1) Baloney. Who are you to tell me what I would find tiresome? SAB is one of my favourite parts of GW2, and I never even got to play World 2 when it came out last time. I never even had the chance to get tired of it.
You know what is really tiresome? Content that I have to grind incessantly within a limited time period because I know it will expire and be taken away for another year afterwards. I would enjoy it a lot more if I could just play it once in a while, at my own pace.
2) I have to ask this every time, because I have never seen a real answer: SO WHAT!? So what, if SAB becomes permanent, and as a result overall interest in it declines over time? Is that a problem? There are plenty of zones and mini-games in GW2 which still exist, and aren’t the most popular things ever. We don’t need to be tricked into thinking anything is more “special” because it keeps being held for ransom.

It would be more like Nintendo launching Super Smash Bros game, and one character will appear for a month and then disappear for a month and then appear again.

You seem to have failed to notice in your analogy, that you have described a completely ridiculous practice that Nintendo has never done, and for good reason. So, I guess I am glad you recognize the silliness of this idea? Pretty sure removing Princess Peach for several months at a time would not make that character “more special.” Nor does keeping character permanently in the game make them “tiresome.”
Also, SAB has been gone a lot longer than a month.

Same with Guild Wars 2, we got Halloween, Winter’s Day, Dragon Bash, Super Adventure Box as events that keeps popping up and then disappears.

1) Oh, great! Then, since Super Adventure Box was originally brought out as an April Fool’s Day activity, then we should have gotten it back on April 1st? Except… we didnt.
2) SAB has nothing to do with any real-world holidays. It could easily have been brought out any time of the year, it wouldn’t matter. And you say “keeps popping up,” as if it returns on a regular basis. It hasn’t. It debuted in April 2013, then came back Sept. 2013. Hasn’t been back since.

To give people something to look forward to and give it replay value.

We should be looking forward to new content, not looking forward to old content being unlocked again for a limited time.

People would replay the old worlds because this is the only time they can do it

And you think that is a good reason to play something, do you? Not because it is fun, or because you feel like it, or because it is a good time for you — but because ArenaNet decided “now is the only time we will let you play this area.”

This makes the content take longer to complete and will keep people busy for a longer time

1) I don’t see how that makes the content longer to complete… it will take the same amount of time, it’s just that players are forced to burn through it all in one hurried burst. And rather than take their time and seek out all the secrets and achievements themselves, they will have to resort to looking up guides in case they can’t get it all done before SAB goes away again. So, players will be completing the content much faster than they normally would be. Especially if they want to collect enough baubles to get the exclusive rewards in time.
2) If SAB is temporary, then anyone who is interested in it basically has to play that primarily, while it is out. They will be playing the rest of the “real” game far less, which means the rest of you grumps who don’t like SAB are going to have a harder time getting people out to your precious Orr temple events, world bosses, LFG dungeons, etc. This is demonstrably bad for the game!

people later on complaining about ’’there’s nothing to do I have already completed everything.’’

People are saying that about the entire game! People are complaining about temporary content, and fun activities being taken away without reason! People are complaining that they want to play SAB, and being told completely ludicrous statements like “No, it should be removed from the game because I personally don’t like it,” or “Not being able to play it makes it fun.”

I think this was it:
http://joshuaforeman.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html

“Later in the day I casually asked the founder/president if we had any analytics about how many people were playing. Well collecting that kind of data seems to be really fun for him as far as I can tell, so we ended up working together to gather that information for a while. That was nice, except for finding out what I suspected based on my forum experience: the numbers are pretty dismal (Compared to the exceptional numbers of the first SAB) right now. I really hope that this patch will bring people back, but without the old reward schedule I don’t think it will happen. So I’m pretty bummed and feel like I let down the whole company and especially my team because I made some poor judgement calls as coordinator.”.

Perhaps the numbers were low enough they are hesitant to put in the SAB very often. They may want to let time go by so it’s new and fresh content for most people.

Hopefully they took the right lessons from that though. It wasn’t that people no longer liked SAB; it was the fact that World 2 was a lot longer, a lot less forgiving, and baubles got reduced so it became harder for people to farm for the rewards they wanted. More difficulty + less rewards naturally resulted in less people playing.

I strongly feel that part of what made World 1 such a success was because it was short and simple enough that you could just jump in with a group of randoms and still expect to complete it within a decent amount of time. (I got experienced enough that I could complete the whole of World 1 in under 10 minutes.) The more skilled players could also compensate for the less skilled by opening up shortcuts, or just letting them waypoint to the next checkpoint if they couldn’t make it.

World 2 did away with a lot of that, resulting in a more unforgiving atmosphere that scared off people who weren’t big fans of JP’s. I feel that the basic paths through the levels should be completable by almost all players (via the use of checkpoints and shortcuts), while more tricky achievements should be left for the JP afficionados. And then, for the real masochists/diehards, there’s Tribulation Mode.
