Give us more Practical Outfits
Are we playing the same game? Or have you never played Asura? Like, right out of the gate you are dealing with AI rebellion. Also we have tanks, airships and huge laser cannons to shoot dragons with.
Outfit is perfectly in line with asura aesthetics. Discussion on “lameness” of recent designs is a bit different topic, but I can easily recall people crying about clipping issues, trench coats and buttcapes, so there’s your answer why some of them are made stiff.
TL-DR, designers seem out of touch with GW2 aesthetic. More practical outfits, no more cheaply sci-fi tech ones.
You might want to relook at the skins in the game originally. Asura cultural armor is sci-fi tech, for example.
You should take a look at the guild wars costumes. Most of those weren’t “practical” either. When they discussed outfits for this game they said they would be highly stylized.
ANet may give it to you.
The only asura aesthetic outfit is in the gemstore now?
How dare they! Give me more HUMAN OUTFITS because those are UNREALISTIC scifi! #HumanFemaleMeta
Wasn’t the last released outfit the gunslinger? What’s wrong with that? Certainly not high-tech, and certainly fits both engineer and thief just fine.

I meant more racially practical outfits, like the wedding attire how they’re diverse but practical to their race.
I posted this half asleep thinking this was the best post ever lol
My brother and his wife got married in cowboy hats. How is the cowboy outfit not practical?
There is elegance in simplicity. Practical does not have to mean doesn’t look good. Good looking does not have to mean extravagantly ornate, covered in spikes and other … protuberances, or even just too kitten big.
While I believe some of the outfits have gone overboard in terms of details and graphics to almost rival the flashiest armor in the game, the newest outfit like others have said really fits the asura feel. While I would prefer some more medieval style outfits and armor akin to gw1, the digital style fits in its own way as well. I dont particularly like it, so i ignore it and not buy it. simple.
are you saying only certain races should have access to certain outfits? that would make sense and I would not mind that but a ton of ppl would cry about it and it would ultimately hurt anets bottom line, so… yeah outfits are a source of income and so limiting them makes no sense from a business perspective.
