The givers armor stat stil uses the old “Boon Duration” stat instead of concentration, and it also only have 1% boon duration, much less than what its counterpart Minstrel has on its pieces since 15 concentration equals 1% boon duration. The givers armor stat also does not exist as an ascended option and you cannot get the stats on weapons and trinkets.

I was shocked they didn’t change this when they introduced Concentration. Seemed like the perfect time to finally give this stat combo which has pretty much been useless since it was first added some love.

Not holding my breath for it now, but it’d be nice.

I created a givers guardian shortly after they released the set (didnt use givers weapon as that has different stats) and when they released ascended armor i hoped givers would some to ascended but it never did. My second favorite character is useless to use almost everywhere since it can’t have ascended gear.

Not to derail, this is just to make sure I as a newbie gets the stats – wouldn’t Minstrels be a good fit? Little drop in Toughness for a boost to Healing, (effective) Boon Duration and some extra Vitality?

Edit: Back on topic – I completely support retrofitting old stats w Boon Duration and Condition Duration to instead use Concentration and Expertise, respectively.

They won’t be updating core content relative to HoT content. Thus far they’ve left all core stat combos completely untouched since expo release.

Plus Boon Duration is not the same stat. Concentration scales down on lower level maps while Boon Duration does not. Normalising it would make Boon Duration more powerful than Concentration with downscaling.

That said I believe both Giver’s and Celestial need some major loving.
