We have the monocle, and to a lesser extent some goggles, but no regular glasses that our characters can wear. How about making those Gem store glasses applyable to Helmet gear?

Here take a look, I Photochopped a Warrior wearing one of the Gem store glasses.

Glasses were one of the most popular armor skin options in GW1, so why would anyone at ANET consider dropping them into this game?

As I said in the first response to your post, they were an ARMOR skin option in GW1.

I like this idea I think a lot of company’s ignore it. The bottom line is not everyone is blessed with perfect sight or a perfect body. I don’t see them adding in some more realistic body types any time soon so glasses would be a nice edition.

It’s ok, seems you spent more time there than some of the current ANET content people.

to be honest before we get any discussion on wearing glasses all the time i’d like to see a split between face and head items. What if i want to wear a monocle and top hat how could i be so classy if i have to choose?

Splitting hat and mask/glasses is going to be a larger project, not even sure they’d be for it either when they can meet halfway and make a mask that has a monocle/goggles/whatever with it.

I absolutely LOVE this idea! My character wears glasses with her town clothes, so why would she suddenly take them off in combat? Makes no sense! I don’t see why this would be difficult or even why they haven’t already made a set.

you get a +1 from me. i did like the spectacles head gear in gw1, would love to see it here (as more than just ’town clothes)

I’d love to have glasses for my Guard, they would look great on her :p
