Gliding & Auto Run.
So… to just move forward a little in a fight you have to press W twice??
We all use Autorun but just not mapped to “w”, I keep in mapped to the default R so I can hit it with my index finger when needed.
Same, I use auto run plenty enough with it bonded to R. I’d get annoyed having to press W twice just to shuffle forward a little bit. And not being able to dodge forward with a double tap (I never press B for my dodge).
Back on topic, the request for auto run to also lean forward continuously isn’t a bad idea. Probably not going to be a high priority for most people since we tend to keep our W key intact
I have my autorun bound to numlock. Works for me. I think this is probably a QoL improvement that benefits too little of the community to spend time on.

Um no, to move forward just a tad I hit “W” once (starts the run) and then you quickly press “S” to stop as needed, it’s not hard at all. I just see no need at all for “W” to be used as it currently is by most people.

Again like I said above, no need to hit “W” twice, just once then “S” to stop. Dodging is no issue as I have that set to my mouse button click which is far easier again anyway. Thanks for your reply tho.
I am constantly using “W” to move and I have NO key set for the move forward default of the “W” as I see no use for it. I guess it’s just something I prefer. No idea how many people are out there like me but I am sure it would not be too hard for Anet put a fix in for.
I have it on Ctrl+F and I never had a problem
I just press mouse wheel gently and sensually to autorun.
Once you use Mouse 5 for auto-run you never go back

The exception to this rule is when you use it for dodge instead (that is mouse 5 isn’t it?). My mouse has 6 buttons and the 7th is the wheel click.
Wheel click is “Mouse 3”. Mouse 5 is one of the thumb buttons.

Oh right. Sadly even with all my buttons I have none left to use for Autorun lol. Besides that would make my “W” a wasted slot as I would not use it for normal run as it is just too intuitive for me as the Auto run.
