I will try to explain this but if I dont succeed maybe a dev can.

When your camera gets close to your toon, it starts clipping bits of your toon. This results in parts of your armour/body missing and the area being see through.

In some situations how ever the camera can get so close that your toon becomes transparent instread of clipped.

These features will not “undress” your toon.

… you know that zooming in enough will put your camera inside player geometry, right?

This isn’t a bug or ‘see through’ anything. This is you trying to get close enough to see what’s under the armor by positioning yourself behind someone’s character.
