I’ve salvaged 6-7 exotics (all level 80) with black lion salvage kits and have not gotten a single one. I’ve read that they should drop at a rate of around 0.5 per exotic, that’s with master salvage kits also. Is there something I’m not aware of or am I just getting really unlucky?

You’ve salvaged only 6-7 exotics and you’re complaining?

Increase your sample size and re-check. You’ll have way more than you ever need at some point maing.

I’m not sure what the droprate is, but I always seem to get heaps of them when i salvage exotics. Using BL kits.

Perhaps it’s just because they’re something I don’t really want or need :P

Yeah, it’s easy to get too many.

I kind of wish we could salvage dark matter for ecto or crystalline dust. Heck, even T5 dust will be fine with me. :P Or merching them.

Or, you can use those globs to make ascended insignias and sell them for 10g profit per 5 globs.

I have over 300 of those globs.
And I didn’t salvage even 200 exotics.

In the last week I have had a similar experience to the OP.

I got two globs from the first thing I salvaged, then nothing from the next five.
