Glory Boosters (new topic)
No.
There have been many items removed. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Category:Historical_content

that list is discontinued content/items. You can still hold onto those items even though there is no use for them or no longer available.
What I’m asking is has Anet ever before taken something out of someone’s inventory because it is no longer available? It seems that the player should be able to hold onto an item even if it has no use or no longer available….

It wasn’t in your inventory though. It was in the locker, and they said they would be removing all those things. They told us many times…. I’m not sure if they got removed from personal inventories / bank space or not, but when that whole section of the pvp locker got nixxed, it’s only logical that anything in that section would go too.
I’m not sure why one would care about keeping obsolete items, but…everything belongs to ArenaNet, and as such, they can do as they wish with obsolete items.
I’m not certain nothing from that list of ‘discontinued’ items has not been removed completely from the game, either.
Regardless, Glory Boosters were discontinued. It was announced long before they were removed that they would be removed, and as such, they are no longer available, no matter where they were stored. /shrug

Actually, they said that they’d be discontinued, and that they’d no longer be usable. Not sure they said they’d “remove” them from inventory. Also, keep in mind regarding the PvP locker that every other item taken from there was returned to me via the wardrobe system.
I guess what is sort of nagging at me is that I received some of those boosts from BL Chests that I opened with keys purchased with Gems that I bought with money. They refunded direct purchases of Glory Boosters, but not those acquired via BL Chests. I even said if a refund was not possible how about just exchanging them for other boosters even if I had to trade 2 or 3 for 1 new one. Now they release this Booster Dust stuff that allows players to convert boosters into different boosters…why not just honor my request several months ago???
I’ll still say that this is the first time that Anet has actually taken something from players (regardless of its uselessness) and not returned something….again, I’ve got Jade Wind Orbs in my GW inventory that have had Zero use since 2006 (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Jade_Wind_Orb)
Pretty sure my Arcane Crystals, Powder, Orbs, etc. weren’t ‘returned’ to me from the locker.
Regardless, you are a bit late to the party, there were several threads about this issue, with the appropriate Dev responses. There is nothing to be gained here, they won’t be refunding anything for obsolete Glory Boosters, as they stated (more or less), ‘Use them or lose them’.
Sorry for your loss.
