I posted this in the Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns Sub-Forum, but thought I’d ask the question in GW2 Discussion, too:
As you’re probably aware, ArenaNet will have a booth on the show floor at both PAX East in Boston and EGX Rezzed in London in early March. We’ll be offering hands-on demos of Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns and engaging in all sorts of Guild Wars 2 fun. (I’ll be hosting trivia. <3 trivia! ) We hope you’ll stop by our booth so we can meet you!
In fact, I thought it might be fun to see who’s going to the shows from amongst our forum members. So if you’d like to share, post which show you’re attending, and feel free to say a bit about your guild, too, like the guild name, how long you’ve been together, how many members you have, etc.
We are really looking forward to meeting Guild Wars 2 fans and showing you our first hands-on demo of Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns!
I’d love to but I won’t be attending for the same reasons nobody from Anet comes down to the South Pacific. Not griping, it’s expensive for so little time!
I will mention my guild though. The Vagabond Horde is down to 1.5 active members from 2.5. The leaders laptop fried itself so now its down to me and three grey names

Since I’m from Belgium I could easily come to EGX Rezzed… Unfortunately I will myself be at a booth at Made in Asia in Brussels on this very weekend… My heart is nothing but pain and sadness! T_T
well.. for the sake of the people who cant in any way, shape or form even get to pax i do hope there will be some form of live stream that shows the demo over twitch to have atleast some footage about whats going on over there.
I run my own small guild, of family and friends, called Order of the Ono [Ono]. I have also recently joined a large guild called Thorin and Company [TAC], who are a few hundred members strong.
Really looking forward to trying out the demo, and grabbing any GW2 goodies I can get my hands in

I am going to EGX Rezzed on the Friday. I am looking forward to meeting the team and most importantly getting my hands on a demo of HoT I am hoping for some team photo oppertunitys and something signed by the team if possible.
I will have loads of questions on the day but I will save them until then.

If I were single and didn’t have to jump through more complicated maneuvers than a jumping puzzle to get my wife to consider it I will have to pass even though I live in NY and would have been a remote possibility to make it a road trip.
I’m really excited
I never went to a gaming convention. There never was enough money or the convention was too far away…
But – in March I am in England for 1 week (I’m a teacher on a classtrip^^) and on Friday the 13th we will be in London! I plan to take the free time I have to visit Rezzed and play a bit of Heart of Thorns and hopefully talk to some of you and snatch a few autographs!

We play on Drakkar and are WvW focused.
Hoping it’ll be less packed and more mellow (as advertised) than the Friday and Saturday.
I’m looking forward to trying out some Stronghold mostly, since I have a feeling you guys will carefully restrict what we see in the PvE demo to avoid any wild economy shifts.
Oh I’ll be at Rezzed the the whole way through. xD
(price wise it cost the same for a weekend as two days)
These I’ll be mostly loling about solo if I’m running around like a risen chicken trying to make appointment in fact I’ll probably be scouting about for an active guild to try out so you know feel free to pitch in person
anyhow if you see somebody donning a fake moustache, perhaps a top hat and cane in a vain attempt to slip onto stronghold unnoticed again it’s probably me
I and a few guildies from [Eden] have got ourselves tickets to Rezzed, along with a couple of other friends! We’ll be there on the Saturday probably hanging around anything related to GW2 way too much!
This will be my first convention, as it will for most of us. We’ve been playing EU since the early days of GW1 (~100 members right now) and are pumped!
We’re also going to be queueing up for the Saturday panel!
So still no repping at any shows down under? I can’t say I’m surprised.
I think you’re missing out on a good deal of your audience by not bringing any Anet representation to Australia/Oceania. I also think Anet underestimates its market here; I see more than just a few of us online daily. I’ve seen entire maps of Aussies/NZ’s.

If it’s up to me, we’re at PAX Down Under (or whatever it’s called). But… it’s not up to me. I will pass along the suggestion, though, you can count on it!
Gaile, not sure if you are able to tell us or not, but I have a question about the demo. I know we will get to play the Revenant and at least part of one of the new zones, but will we get to try any of the specializations in the demo?

I might be interested in the London event but was just wondering if the guild wars 2 stuff is only on the saturday, as the only day I can really make is the friday . I was assuming that the arenanet booth and HoT would only be there on the saturday – if its available on the friday I would get a ticket

godsie — in answer to your question, we will have demos every day of the event. So anyone who goes--whether for the full event or for a single day—should be able to demo Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns!

If you haven’t been to a convention before then Rezzed is a great way to start. It doesn’t have quite as many massive names at it as Eurogamer EGX does later in the year and nowhere near as many people as Gamescom.
It turns out that makes Rezzed a fairly relaxed convention. It tends to come without all the baggage that weighs on larger conventions from sexism, harassment and general bad behaviour. It has a good mix of large and small developers and lots of time to stop and get to know your fellow fans in a mellow atmosphere.
First year in the London Tobacco Docks so we will see how it fairs in a bigger venue.
I agree with you, Screenager. Rezzed sounds as if it would be a good first game show for players who haven’t been to one, with plenty to do for show veterans. This will be the first time I’ve been to that particular show, but I hear good things about it. PAX East will be much larger and busier. Both, I’m sure, will be a blast!
