Hello,

I’m trying to complete Wintersday Achievements and Collection. Now I need Gold Ball Ornament to complete all ornaments. But there is one problem. I don’t know is it possible to get this not having high level (currently I’m 48).

If not is it possible to complete that collection after Wintersday.

Until now, no collection has been disabled, so i would expect this collection to be completeable after wintersday as well, as long as you have it unlocked.

Do you have any friends who could run with you to Orr? There are two jumping puzzles that are very easy for a mesmer to port you up to: Vizier’s Tower in Straits of Devastation and Buried Archives in Cursed Shore. I have gotten a level 20-something to Orr in the past, you just have to run and stop for nothing!

That is what I would expect as well. Vizier’s Tower would also be the easier option since there are plenty of things that can kill you. Also if you are going to bother running to cursed shore you might was well just grab the 3 or 4 easy ones in Malchor’s Leap(grenth statue, balthazar statue, waterfall, the one that requires going through dwayna’s temple)!

There are also two other chests(that I am aware of) in Straits of Devastation but I haven’t checked if they can drop the item.

If you play a warrior you can just run to Orr. My old guild did a challenge to get a new human toon from DR to as far in to Orr as you could with one life, you die it’s game over. The rules where no thief, or havering people guard you. This was also before mega servers, so it should be easy to do now. I got as far as Trinity before I bought the farm.

While it’s a bit farther than Vizier’s Tower, in Malchor’s Leap there’s a chest underwater at the Hope Falls point of interest, guarded by a single veteran. It contains the ornament needed from Orr. So if you can get someone to run you there and distract/kill the veteran, that chest is more easily accessible than the jumping puzzles would be.

You could check the orrian chest near the champion risen wizard in The Cursed Shores. It’s due west of Caer Shadowfain waypoint. Chances are good the area will be mostly cleared of enemies and easy to access. It’s where I got the Golden Ball Ornament for the collection.

You don’t even need to go that far. There’s an open world chest just east of Snipe Hill in Straits of Devastation.

OP, get an 80 or 2 to run you down there. I took a level 43 there yesterday, she died a couple times but I was right there to rez her after I killed the mobs.

That way you’ll be sure to get your Christmas tree in your home instance if the collection reward works only during Wintersday.

All the above posts is why this game is one of the best right now.

The collections from Halloween are still complete-able though Halloween is over (just added to one myself) so I don’t know why they would “close” the ornaments collection after Wintersday. But I have no proof that they won’t.
