On average, each day, I receive about one spam message from a gold seller every 10 minutes. It has become so bad that I have had to disable my whispers to be able to clearly communicate in WvW. I can tell I am still receiving them because I can hear the PM sound every 5-10 minutes. The messages typically consist of the same line of text each time. I have blocked, and reported, each one for the first month or so of this problem, but now I don’t bother, as that didn’t seem to resolve anything. During the writing of this message, I already received five more spam messages from gold sellers.

My suggestion would be to add a filtering system at the server level, to look for specific known blocks of text for gold sellers, and auto-suppress/auto-ban them on trigger. These are not the sort of messages that normal humans would be writing, and you wouldn’t even have to add any regular expression. It’s just the same exact text each time, from various accounts, through the day.

It’s gotten so bad that my husband and I have had to go “invisible” just to keep the gold spammers to quit PMing. Every 10 minutes seems downright quiet some days.

I’m still sitting there “Block” “report” for every single one but some days I can’t do anything else with how frequent they are >.<

As soon as they are reported, they are banned but since China is active now GW2 has gotten back on their Radar.

A.Net can only do so much. The players have to protect their accounts also. Many of the new gold sellers are hacked accounts.
