It’s been a while since I’ve played, and the last time I played running cof was the best way to make gold, is this still true or is there a new way everyone is making their gold nowadays

There are a bunch of ways to make gold fast. I’ll list them from most effective to least effective:

1. Playing the TP:
This is still the best method to make gold, but with playing the TP you first need gold to make more gold.

2. Trick or Treat Bag farming in Bloodtide Coast:
This farm is quite hectic and rather toxic since it gained popularity, but if you find a good map with decent people this is by far the best way to farm gold.

3. The Silver Wastes:
Simply playing on the Silver Wastes map will get you a ton of loot, more so if you’re on a well-organized map. Many players made a decent chunk of gold on this map and it’s fun too.

4. Speedrunning Dungeons:
People no longer do just CoF because the rewards for completing dungeons are now time-gated to once a day. So instead, dungeon speedrunners organize “dungeon tours”, in which they speedrun all the fastest dungeon paths in less than 2 hours. Joining such a group will get you some gold relatively fast.

5. Doing all the world bosses:
Doing all of these will get you some gold. Tequatl and Triple Trouble give you the most gold and loot but you need to be present for the event ahead of time else you’re going to be stuck in a bad overflow and you’ll lose the fight.

6. Mining – Buying the watchwork pick and hitting up the rich nodes, especially platinum and iron. Easy, but rather boring.

TP is far and away the best because it scales like other methods do not.

well u have a stack of Vial of Maize Balm go to bloodtide coast an farm tot bags. plus you make a little profit in process of gold

Do I have to have a vial of maize balm? Or is it optional and how do I get it

theres usually lots of people there with maize balm, so attack with a AOE skill once after the candy monster appears, so all get a chance to tag, and DO NOT kill the crows :P then sell the trick or treat bags and profit, but you will profit even if you buy the maize balm potions yourself.

Next way to make money, craft Damask and Mithrillium (daily ascended materials)

Another way, flip items on the TP. I use this website, https://www.gw2tp.com/

If the above don’t suit your fancy, run dungeons. The end reward gives a minimum of 1g per path. It adds up quickly.

And last but not least, farm farm farm Silverwastes. Do events to get crests, use crests to buy keys, use keys to open chests. If you are lucky, you will get plenty of rares you can salvage for ecto’s that you can sell on the TP (Don’t salvage rares that can sell on the TP for more than an ecto ~30-40silver)
