I’ve been googling to see what became of this feature. As best as I can tell, some 10 months ago, Gaile Gray mentioned that it would again be possible to convert a custom amount of gems into gold and vice versa, rather than having to aim for set packages.

At the moment, that seems to be the case for gold (you can decide how many gems you wish to convert into gold) – but not the other way around. If I want to buy gems for gold, the lowest amount of gems I can buy seems to be 400, at the (current) cost of 103 gold.

Is the plan still to have a custom gold to gems feature implemented? If so, is there an ETA on this?

You can already do this. Choose “Custom Exchange” at the bottom of that page.

There’s a little button at the bottom right of that page that says custom exchange. That’s what you’re looking for.

You can buy any amount of gems with gold, just change the number in the box.

See this bottom of page right. Click it and can do what you want. This has been there for a long time.

There has been one for some time. I’m on a beta alt so I can’t easily check where in the UI it is but I think it’s down at the bottom under the exchange, a button to click for custom amounts.
