I think so. The white ones are single use. The golden icon one is permanent. The permanent has a simple name (Captain’s Airship Pass), the other one (is white) should clealry list it’s consumable.

And I see it’s in cash shop now, so yes.

If it costs 1000 gems (Captain’s airshop pass, or Royal Terrace pass) it’s garanteed permanent one. The consumable ones (sometimes for sale) cost less (something like 100 gems each).

It can be moved alt to alt but only one alt can use it at a time. Whichever alt holds it can use it infinitely.

Note that the airship -does- have portals to various places, but not in the form of portals. Talk to the helmsman for a drop down list.

I do not understand why they did not put Royal Terrace Pass too. It does the same thing, but on a different location.
Anyway, it’s not my decision to make

The Royal Terrace pass is slightly better imo since its in a city which means you can wp to the Salma instance for free and of course you can be reading the Barrens trade map chat while there, which is frequently amusing and instructive. However both passes are great convenience items and I use mine each time I play.

They fixed that. It was very annoying but it doesn’t happen any more.

To be honest if quick waypointing is priority (and less loading time) and a activity npc, airship is better.

Terrace is better for being in town, close to human home instance, and close to some events (the 888 chinse luck event thingy, wintersday, gold pavilion).

I have the luxury of owning both. If you own both you’ll realize how good, the captains pass is if you need to portal often. In the end either one can suffice for one player. But choose wisely with the advantage/disadvantages i listed.

Not worthy it. Well not for me in anycase. If I want to access work stations or bank I just go to WvW.
