Hi, i have a golem bank and i’m really confused with how to use it properly.
I understand that once you’ve summoned the golem bank you can put any items in it as you like and can be shared between characters of the same account. However once summoned, i can’t seem to “put it back” into my inventory bag, so it just stands there where i first summoned it and leave it there. Secondly, as i hover over the item details it seems to have a countdown. Is this countdown showing when my golem bank summon will no longer be useable? If so, then is it ignore time or real time. and if it disappears where do i access my bank instead?

You can’t ‘put it back’, it will just collapse and disappear after about 5 minutes. It has a ‘life’ of 2 weeks (real time), and then will no longer be usable. Once used, the Golem becomes soul-bound. You can access your bank at any bank NPC in cities and the open world, as well as any Crafting Station (again in cities or the open world).

Yea you aren’t quite storing items on the golem itself but rather it gives you access to your bank anywhere.

IMO the golem is pretty useless with that 2week timer on it.

I think you are mistaken. The Golem runs out 2 weeks (real time) after first consuming it. It does not use in-game time.

Yep…kinda lame, and I bought the Uber Statue version of GW2…would have been better if it had been 1 item, account bound, and never expired. Would be like the permanent tools…just have to remember to float it to whatever toon you are using…hint, hint…lol

Actually, it’s 2 weeks real time counting from first activation. I still have one around from the beginning of the game (that i have never really needed yet), and it’s still usable.

The ones you buy off the gemstore start counting down when you take them out of the mail- the ones that come with heroic (?) edition don’t start counting until you use it.
