There are many good decisions done with GW2:
Map is rectangular and adjustable, does not rotate, does not have border, map controls are hidden until pointer is on the map. (I have seen GW1 and early GW2 videos; the map has not always been this good.)
Characters are nice. In-game behaving is nice too.
Party icons are at the edge of the screen, not cluttering the view. See Neverwinter.
The center of view is not cluttered. See Neverwinter and many more.
The name tag texts are rendered in pixel space, and thus are clear. Compare to Arch Age or Neverwinter for texture rendered: too small tags or too large and blurry when near. GW2 got this perfect: the names are readable even when the char is a far away.
Have needed that a lot. (But the name tags clutter the view specially in boss events and in WvW; however, I prefer readability of the names. Fade a far away tags smoothly invisible?)
Weapon damage numbers does not clutter the screen. Number 0 is better than text “missed”. See Neverwinter and many more.
Above-head-tags are better than on-the-armor tags. See Neverwinter.
Possibility to take screenshots. Have taken stereo screenshots but have not yet viewed them; later. (How about Ctrl+PrintScreen instead of combo Ctrl+Shift+h and PrintScreen for HUDless screenshots?)
