Google authenticator.
Its very safe are not 100% like anything else
If someone finds the Algorithm of the code out he can possible acess any acc are its google … they Update it then Rly fast like Re Captcha someone Broke the code and was able to automatically solve Recaptcha 30 min later they adjust it and wasnt anymore possible to auto complete it
Also it should be very safe just dont loose your phone / reinstall it without deactivate it
else support and something^^
^ If you are referring to the two-step verification code, it is incredibly unlikely. Each code is generated specifically for that request, leaving something like a 1 in 60.5 million chance of guessing the code.

There’s some kind of algorithm to it, otherwise how would you think an offline token authenticator is able to generate a random code that is supposed to work at that specific moment for that specific serial number? I’m not saying it’s likely to be decoded, and hackers probably wouldn’t even waste the effort, but yea.
I activated the google auth. yesterday for my (gmail)accounts. One code is only active for around 30 seconds. Even if somebody knows the code, he must be very fast. Its unlikely that you get hacked with this auth.
It seems like people are taking about 2 different things in this topic.
An authenticator system like WoW has
The email authentication that GW2 currently has
no there talking about the google Authenticator that will be suported soon
Both actually…. GW2 is getting an authenticator system (wasn’t aware it was on the e-mails) similar to WoW using a google authentication system.

Most of this is random but they touch on the authenticator stuff (: was posted by the official GW2 FB, handy to keep an eye there for news and updates!
