Costed me around $300 USD to get them all from the lovely RNG we have going for us.

Is this really how ANet does things?.. I would have much rather bought the Mini’s in a pack from the gemstore instead.

Why would a company sell you something for $10 when you are clearly willing to pay $300?

I could have only ended up spending maybe $100 if I was lucky enough.

I ended up getting 2 permanent contracts by the time I spent $150 lol

They were sold in packages back in the days when SAB was active. But yeah, why sell it for $10 when you will pay 30 times as much?

Actions speak louder than words. ANet now has $300 dollars worth of action that RNG is the way to sell minipets. Don’t expect them to be moved by your words.

I came into game around end of July of 2014, so I didn’t get the chance to get them. and as I seen they put them in BLC, I knew SAB was never going to happen anytime soon.

It was the estimated number I came up with, I could have spent as much as 2100 gems worth, and got all 6 as far as I know, but this is how it ended up being for me.

Kind of sad that they don’t have super assassin or Princess Miya in there

They never re-sell forged only ones. You got the assassin by forging the second back from the gem store. You got Miya by buying Moto (with baubles) and forging him with the wig, dress, and tiara.

That’s just . . . sad. But, if you have the money to blow, more power to you.

And ue to people, which act, before thinking, it is most likely the case, that we will be never ever see those minipets again normally in the gem story, like Anet did it when SAB was active, even if they would bring back someday SAB back.

Why should Naet ever have a reason to brign the pets back into the story the old way, when there are such crazy people, that throw their money out of the window via RNG like that.

However, by the way how Anet handles Minipets as Cash Grab and locked behind specific Game Content, that forces you to do some elitist stuff in the game without providing any alternative options for players on how to obtain them with somethign in the game that you might prefer to do than playing PvP, I’ve given up already a long time ago to get all Minipets for a complete collection and will care only for the ingame collections of minis, which can can buy from TP also.

Imo there should exist no accountbound minis, every mini should be bound by its skin to the accoutn only if you unlock it for the wardrobe system, otherwise every minipet should be sellable via TP, including those SAB Minis, thats my honest opinion, as this would make up for the most fair system for everyone so that if someone should get such a mini from a BLTC and has 0 use for it, then such a person could at least sell that pet to someone who wants it and would make use of it …

Wow, I bought 25 keys with gems and 10 more with gold, and got none. Figured I’d be crazy to spend more than that. I did get a ghost pepper harvesting node, which put some.of the gold back >.<

Thank you for making it that less likely they will put these minis (and other minis) in the gem store as a direct 400 to 800 gem purchase.

Hopefully, they won’t bring these particular minis back for normal sale, and I think they don’t want to alienate anyone who has spent a lot for them by invalidating it. I think new minis will still be sold in normal packages because though whales are important, they are not the sole source of income. I, for one, have no problem buying gems when it feels like a small, entertaining indulgence like the cost of a movie ticket every once in a while. Whales may have a different hobby than I do by which to compare it. I do work for a game company ( not A-net fyi), so I know what a real whale can spend, and I’ve heard about positive feedback from big spenders with no regrets. There’s no reason to begrudge them having extra to spend, whether they are rich or just living within a smaller percentage of their means. Glad the OP got what he wanted, and I hope he got lots of other cool bonus stuff from chests in case the minis alone don’t live up to how much he values what he spent.

And now you’ve given them that much more encouragement not to bring them back as the gem store packs they originally were by spending ~30x what you would have.
