Start an alt. Seems kinda obvious to me.

You said all your equipped gear is there right? Why do you need to buy more to continue? If you need cash, port to one of the WvW battlegrounds and harvest, or just do the events, collect like 3s, leave, then port somewhere you should be at your level.

Or make an alt and just play it. Last time I went broke, (due to crafting), I switched to an alt, cleared a zone and had nearly a gold at the end of it. It’s really not that hard to make money in this game if you just… you know, play the game.

This is what happens when you don’t use e-mail authentication.

Do a few DE’s in a newbie area. Get gathering supplies if you don’t have them already and go somewhere with mithrill or platinum, harvest and sell on AH.

Or start an alt, as was said.

Or ask in LA, could work too.\

I’ve crafted myself to 20 copper and an empty bank chest more then once.

Zero money to do anything is the problem? I actually had a similar problem… had 0c left on me from crafting myself into bankruptcy and couldn’t sell any of the stuff I’d made on the TP because of the listing fee. Just walked my way out into the nearest zone, killed a couple mobs and sold the drops to a vendor.

I definitely didn’t have it as bad as a guy I ran into today though… died in the middle of an empty zone without enough money to go to the nearest WP. Felt so bad I ran halfway across the zone to rezz him.

When this happened to me, teleporting to the nearest waypoint to me was free/for how much money I had left. Once I needed to restart/relog to kick it in.

If you are flat broke when you die you can teleport to the nearest waypoint for free. You don’t get to CHOOSE the waypoint, the only one you can go to is the one that costs 0, but you still won’t get stuck somewhere unable to rez.

Well that’s good to know. Never happened to me, but I guess the guy I ran into had the same bug silencer had that one time. Can you remember if it was a mob death or a falling death? The guy I ran into fell, might have something to do with it.

Mob death for me, pulled like 5-10 mobs in Orr by accident, rallied twice, stayed down the third time ;P

Hmm… sounds like a random issue then. I’ll just make sure I’ve always got a few silver on me at all times then =p

I don’t recall the specifics, spent my bank on cooking supplies and switched to a different toon to gather some more stuff but ran into trouble and died. It turned out the alt I was using didn’t have any money on her and nothing in the bank so I couldn’t go back to the waypoint next to merchants/repairs. I looked around a bit and one of the waypoints was available for 0.

Ummm, if you get hacked in GW2 they restore everything that was stolen as is the custom in MMOS such as gold and items right??

Restoring items isn’t that common, actually.

And gold too?

However like someone pointed out: I have the thing where if I log in from somewhere else I have to authenticate via my email, that will keep me safe right?

As long as you don’t use the same email and password that you use to log in to GW2. If you do, then the hacker can just log into your email and authenticate themselves.

In the mean time, my phone is going nuts, telling me I have a log-in attempt happening…

love my android…. if I renew my ip-addy or reboot my router, it’s actually faster just to grab my phone than log into my email. :P

I made an email just for Guild wars, haven’t gotten an outside attempt since then.

were you registered with the same email for the wiki or gw2guru or something?

I remember people that were registered with WoWhead were getting a lot of email spam, due to a compromise of their e-mail lists or something…
