Got screwed over twice..
Check to ensure you are running the latest drivers for your computer’s hardware.
You can also try to run a repair on the game client to fix any issues there: https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/28148006-Repairing-the-Game-Client
that would be severely annoying. Did it crash before you turned your graphics down? ive noticed that some computers crash more when they are set too low. Is your graphics card up to date? When i first played this game, my graphics card was so out of date i could hardly load the maps sometimes. Any IT person would tell you to turn your computer off and turn it back on, so that might be worth a shot if you havent tried that already.
Im no expert though. You could always put in a ticket with A-Net.
Gates Of Madness
Jewelcrafting to 500!
The chest will count if it spawns before your character has disconnected from the server. The time you actually disconnect will vary depending on how you crash, so for simplicity, let’s say you disconnect as soon as you click login on the launcher.
Too high of a sound quality can cause your game to crash when too many people are around. This can be identified by an odd sound it makes as it crashes.
If I do certain large scale events in the same play session, I can guarantee a crash. The game becomes increasingly choppy over time, so I can always predict when it’s going to happen. To prevent this, I simply restart the game after joining the map.

I had sound on highest quality, I turned it to fastest.. wonder if this would do much better..
I still don’t understand why we can’t have a spot reserved (for a short time) until we reconnect.

I would make a thread in tech support, if I were you.
Was fighting Inquest Golem Mark II .. he died.. i crashed before I could loot the chest.. i relogged back in, had to fight Golem a 2nd time.. no chest after 2nd kill.
Pretty much same thing happened to me with Tequatl.. was in an organized TTS raid.. crashed out.. i come back.. join party member in map after its dead, since map was full.. and no chest… guarantee if I try to kill teq a 2nd time.. there will be no chest.
Why the hell am I crashing out.. I have my graphics turned to crap even..
This is what you get for trying to kill Kakarot
I do agree that if you don’t loot the chest; it should still be waiting like the bonus and daily chests OR you should still be able to loot it within the same day if you do it again.
