Grawnk Munched his 3rd meal, died, no item
Probably too late, The wiki maybe referred to last year and could also have been wrong (it is written by players after all). You might have to wait til next year now.
You can complete the collection after Wintersday ends (since collections are permanent), but I don’t believe you could complete the quest, even last year. I could be mistaken, however.

Something clearly has changed. Quoting from the Wiki:
“You can still finish the scavenger hunt and feed Grawnk the delicacies after Wintersday 2014 ended. When you go to your home instance, Grawnk and the orphan will still show up. Talk to Grawnk and he will tell you where Sous-Chef Seimur Oxbone is and you can still find him, although his icon won’t show up on the map like it did during Wintersday. After feeding him three times, you will still get the collection unlock item and you can then go do the jumping puzzles to get the ornaments. Once done, you will receive credit for the achievement and get your home instance node and the Orphan’s Generous Gift.”
The discussion behind the page indicates you have to have fed him once.

When I got to the home instance after Wintersday closed, there he and the orphan were, complete with candy marker over their heads. Why leave them in game if it wasn’t meant to be completed? Methinks someone changed something elsewhere and crashed it.

Im sorry, I cant help you though, I knew we had almost a month to do it and I got it done on my alts in plenty of time (even though I procrastinated), There were people in a couple of my guilds making sure that people knew when the last day to get it started was. Seems like you took the risk not to do it before Wintersday ended and the outcome is you have 11 months to wait now.
It wasn’t a matter of taking a risk. I didn’t know about it until I read of it on a fan site. Then when I saw it was time gated, I read up on it.
Still, you didn’t explain why the characters were still there, unlike the rest of the Wintersday characters, if they didn’t want it to continue. My guess is some new dev made some change elsewhere and crashed the completion of the Grawnk Munch. They have a long history of breaking things that used to work. We’ll never know, as there are so many more important bugs in the game that haven’t been fixed to expect this to be.
Contact support. If it’s intended, they can let you know. If it’s a bug, they might be able to assist.

Grawnk is a bit buggy … some people have reported seeing him overlapping with their tree which means he can sometimes show up even for people who have completed the whole thing. Maybe it is something similar to the ghostly candy corn node or back when there was the election. Most people would see the Kiel hologram most of the time but occasionally it would show a Gnashblade hologram instead.
