With all the negative topics, just thought I’d say I’m freaking enjoying this game. One of my best purchases EVER. Bought it 1 week after it came out and still enjoying the hell out of it. Grats Anet.

I do share some of the worries of my fellow friends here about ascended gear, being left out of groups or falling behind friends (pretty casual myself), but you know? not all that worried really.

I’ll keep my own pace, and trust this is just what they say it is, a mechanic to help introduce new high end stuff on the long run without sacrificing players that play casually like myself.

I also keep in mind one of the best features, no monthly fees, if this where a monthly subscription MMOs, I would never have even tried it, but now I’m pretty sure ill be buying the expansions too.

Anyway, I guess I just wanted to give a thumb ups to Arena Net on what they have accomplished so far Feels like you guys need a pat in the back after reading through the apparent negativity floating around. Then again, I’m sure you already know satisfied players like are busy actually playing than posting here. Looking forward to what they plan for the future.

I dont care about the new ring/backpeice either. Just wish they would do some much needed work on pvp.

Are you serious? You think only 1% of the game population is enjoying this? Is that why since friday afternoon there has been overflow queues in LA?

More people are having fun playing the game than not. I’m 100% sure of that. The people who are kittening about it on the forums don’t count for as much of the population as you would like us to think.

That being said, while the actual events were a little lackluster and poorly executed the fractal dungeons are great fun.

A. It is clear a HUGE majority of the population is against the ascended gear, wvwvw and PVE players alike.

B. LA was in overflow because of the EVENT, not for ascended gear. Exploration, not the ascended gear. Furthermore, less people in wvwvw because of a chain reaction of people doing the event causing less fights, so more people in LA afk/doing the EVENT.

C. Check server pop since patch, it has DROPPED

A. Sample metric. 1% of all forum posts asked for stat based progression. /100 people in game asked 1 wanted stat based progression. Simple, anyone can do it.

B. Exactly, everytime they had an event the same thing happened. The topic however, is about Ascended gear. If you are having trouble learning to read, blame your education. If you are having trouble staying on topic, expect mod deletion.

C. You know there is this really cool and amazing button when you are at the login screen that shows server selection, when a HUGE portion of servers dropped in pop status levels on a WEEKEND, you know the pop is dropping fast.

Oh, now we are whining now? Sorry, but now I have to report you for trolling. Only trolls/younglings say people are whining because they disagree.

I’ve thanked the developers a lot, before they intoduced all this gear grind crap. But now
I can only say, thanks for the treatmill, thanks for the grind. I don’t like it, I don’t need it. I cut it of right now. When you’re fine with “beeing left out” well, enjoy it than.

I only logged in to take a closer look at the event, but ragequit after a fwe minutes, besides that I havent logged in since the first words of gear progression and I won’t do so anytime soon. Theres just no motivation on playing this game at all right now. But theres a ultra high motivation to be active here, yes its way more fun than the game, atm.
