You know how you get armor and weapons and stuff killing mobs, and doing world bosses, ect ect..

I just thought this suggestion would be a great idea, and it’s very simple.

Make weapons and armor of the same type (exactly the same name & stats) stack with each other up to 250. This would save a TON of space, and would cut down on needing to stop to sell every so often.

Wow, you’d need to have a lot of luck to get all “Berserker Leggings of Minor Purity”. :-)
I think there is just way too much differentiation between all the loot you can get.. Level, stats, rarity, rune, …

i can’t think of a time when i’ve had 2 exact same weapons/armour in my inventory ever lol.
except the exception of low level alts having vendor bought weapons for pvp, but that very rarely is the case.

It won’t happen because

a) ANet needs to sell extra bag slots as the most basic convenience item,
b) it will be abused by flippers.

20 level 80s and counting.

I’ve seen duplicates when I’ve accumulated a few rares from the same area.

You’re right, in that each weapon is a specific configuration placed in the drop table, so duplicates are quite possible. Making them stackable won’t work, because the items can be modified. Thus, each one must be a separate instance of an object the game tracks, rather than one of an identical stack like the crafting materials, junk drops, etc.
