What are the point of these merchants? they are almost everywhere selling useless items?? ok maybe one or two should be ok near a noob zone but in lvl 80 areas? as if we are going to buy this stuff, when we are kitted out with rare exotic and crafted items are so easily made?

I was wondering about that even in low level areas, because I really never had any gear that was worse than what they were selling, even if my gear was at least 5 levels behind…

We needed them early on when the trading post was broken for the first week or two of the game; it reached a point where I had out-levelled my gear by over 20 levels and had to resort to using white junk.

But, yeah seem more like a curiosity.

They could be upgraded to sell blues and maybe even greens provided their asking price is fairly high so as to not cut the crafters out the market.

Every game has them, it’s like spiders. Any mmo must have spiders.

Can’t even salvage their stuff.

It’s so you have someone to sell your loot to.

Trying to think of an MMO without some kind of spiders… Nope got nothing.
