Grind Wars 2?
just give it up. Many people are enjoying the game without worrying they have to collect every black lion skin.
The only skin I unlocked is the hallowean greatswords. It happen to be a pretty skin and makes me felt like a vampire, and have footstep. That’s enough.
Some like to collect achievements. You would be unhappy too, if they get the thing away what keeps you playing.
(maybe you lost him forever…)
Maybe no one cares?

I you love something, you don’t want to give up the hope for it.

Arenanet’s sight about it: Players = money. Less players = Less money. If they keep ignoring that, they will have some problem.

Some achievements are so crazy like "Captured Stonemist Castle 25,000 Times (lifetime) ".
Maybe you can consider give some of it up.
Not to mention gaining 80 levels. Watching a bar slowly fill up repeatedly by doing repetitive tasks and occasionally a “dynamic” event or following a zerg around for hours gets old very fast.

I know. Doesn’t like it too… but the idea of using gold to get achievements and they keep adding achievements like that… that’s sad. I almost reached the limit for dailies. And i’ve done almost everything ingame… i really loved Guild Wars 2, but i don’t like the path they keep following…
I don’t know. The fact that season 2 has 10 thousend times better story than season 1 grab me (and my friends) back into the game. After this patch we just stared at the screen. General impresion was – grind is funnier in Diablo 3. It’s funnier in Torchlight 2, in Helsing, in Wildstar (yeah, it really is)…
GW2 have 2 kind of things in my opinion – what I allready have (dungeons master, eternity etc.) and what need skirtload amount of grind to get. Sign me of…

but they said this game was about playing fun content, not about keeping farming day and night for some stupid achievement nobody wants anyway.
I mean, I don’t have a problem with the game being full of stupid stuff that requires a lot of grind, as long as they also add something fun to do besides that. At least the did add a few fun encounters in the last LS, but the cheap, empty content seems to outpace the quality stuff.
Grind has more than one meaning. Why not quote the whole paragraph instead of the tiny bit you quoted. You know, “we want to change the way people view combat.”
Grind in MMOs is not about farming. It’s about killing. That’s why it starts with I swung a sword, I swung it again.
In many MMOs you needed to grind mobs to level. Grinding was about leveling. You’d grind out levels. If you take the whole paragraph, instead of pulling a sentence out of the middle, the context of what Colin is saying becomes clear.
