Hey.
Lately I’ve been putting a lot of work in towards my first Legendary weapon, going after Twilight for my guardian.

Part of me does however feel a bit annoyed with how a legendary greatsword somewhat clashes for a guardian with their pre-existing visual effects.

So I’m looking for peoples impressions, do you perhaps have a legendary GS on guardian? (specifically Twilight but Sunrise/Eternity as well) and do you feel that the blue glow on attacks takes away from the sword?

I’ve seen a couple video’s on youtube, many of whom were of asuran characters, and at least on them it does seem to overtake the sword quite much (especially on the whirling attack) but i’m kinda hoping that’s down to their size. My guardian is the biggest sized Human male (regret a little not making him norn ) so maybe the sword effects will be more apparent over the blue with that size of sword?

I recently completed Twilight for my Charr guardian. I don’t know if this is typical, but for me the effects of the sword have actually replaced the normal animation particle effects for my GS attacks. Instead of the usual “blue” effect you get the trailing effect from the sword. I think you may have been seeing older videos, since some of the more recent patches have made it so that legendary particle effects replace any standard ones from normal weapons.

Three points I’d like to make… First, the likelihood of 100 million Guardians is pretty slim. Second, Beauty or Ugliness is purely a matter of opinion. And thirdly, this post helps OP not at all.

Ah it must’ve been old video’s then, been trying to find nice ones for quite a while but have only come across this handful that i’ve seen. Thanks for your reply, I’m much more hopeful now

If you don’t like it, then don’t make a guardian with it yourself. Your opinion is not the center of my, or anyone elses, universe.

But at least you got your extremely biased and not even remotely important opinion off your chest, congrats kiddo.

Twilight is overrated and everyone gets their thighs soaked over it for some reason.

Sunrise is better anyways since Warriors of Sunlight > Bad Vampire movies.

it is very popular and clearly a good portion of players find it an appealing skin. Make it because you like it not because it’s rare.

A good portion of people listen to Britney Spears and Skrillex too but that says very little about the actual quality of their music.

Guardians seems to have a lot of problems with their visuals.

Aegis, obviously. I completed The Flameseeker Prophecies yesterday, I was already well aware though that aegis would clip into it and destroy it’s look to some degree.

It dosen’t look too bad though.

I had actually considered Flameseeker Legacies but the aegis issue was too much for me personally, glad you’re enjoying yours

As for those of you who just wanna groan on about your opinion on the weapon itself, I don’t care, talk amongst yourselves about it. I happen to like the Twilight skin and that’s why I’m aiming to make it, had i prefered Sunrise then I would have aimed for that instead. Which weapon I chose, why I chose it and wether or not you agree with that choice has nothing to do with the topic at hand so please take that somewhere else.

Who gives you the right to judge?

Make what you like. You shouln’t choose a legendary based on how popular it is.
