Guild Wars 2

I like both this classes each for very specific reasons, but I want to know what YOU love about these classes.

Ok I will start;

I love blue, and I love GS and Staff, so I was looking for a class that had that, thats how i cmae upon the guardian. Minus the blue and plus the music is mesmer. I like to collect skins for weapons and armors, and so far I want the Sunrise and Twilight legendaries, also bifrost, but Bifrost is being reserved for my main, which unfortunately due to my gameplay likings is elementalists rather than those two afore mentioned.

If eles could use GS I would be the happiest GW2 gamer in the world.

I like guardian because it was very easy character to level up and get to learn the mechanics of the game. Later on it provides a lot of ways to make your dungeon runs successful. Mine might not make the best damage, but I can tank-kite enemies, help people run through difficult parts, cover up some mistakes (my own and other people’s) with aegis and generally people like to listen to guardians and follow their lead because they think of them as their personal cannon fodder… makes it easy to pace the battles. Likewise since I have to keep everyone else in mind, I’ve also learnt to see the strengths and weaknesses of other players and what happens in the battle (versus my previous years of playing DPS or occasional healer), which makes it easier for me to pinpoint where the fight goes wrong and what we could try next time to do better.

I like mesmer because I can pretty much stay back and nobody really notices what I’m doing, I got fancy GS skills, I can provide support to others, it has more interesting battle techniques and no Cofp1 party of mine will ever again get stuck into rolling stones.

But they can. With the added bonus of not paying hundreds of gold for the vulcanus…

Mesmer: Love the versatility!
Guardian: Love the resilience!

With Guardians I love all the effects and the skill actions (Empower with the staff is awesome), and I love having my skill bar highlighted with the blue flame. I love the fact that I can very visibly be a help to everyone else involved in a fight (not that other professions can’t, it’s just obvious with the Guardian because you see all those lovely boons pop up). I also like that it’s a great mix of magic and melee, which I like on a heavy armour character.

The Mesmer I’m not so fond of, but I do love the way they use greatswords. The sound gets annoying, but the animation is awesome, and all that purple light is brilliant.

im having such a hard time deciding between both :/
